Young excells at the RPO style offense he ran at Alabama.

Reich runs a boring version of pro style offense.  Stand in the pocket and pick apart a defense.

MCCown knows the pro style offense but is clueless on RPO.

These were the wrong choices for Bryce Young from the get go.

When Tepper hired Reich, he tossed out the possibility of an RPO offense.

This is why you let the coach pick the QB he knows can run his offense.

Once Bryce was picked, Reichs days were numbered.

Firing Reich now so Bryce can be pair with a coach better suited to put in an offense to take full

advantage of his skillset was the right call.

What he ran here absolutely, have to say the SB he won in Philly as OC its odd that they ran the heck out of the RPO guess it wasn't his playbook.

That's what you get when you hire a head coach and immediately neuter him by not letting him take his choice of QB(s).  Frank wanted Carr, then Stroud and had to settle for Young.  You're right, it was never going to work.

It doesnt really matter what offense we put Bryce in. We could cater to him and put him in rpo with an all-pro line, the best you could get from him is QB play you should expect from a good backup. Thats not what you want from a #1 overall QB that you traded so much more. He should be elite, but he isnt and never will be.

I disagree you put him on the 49ers and he's an All Pro

Reich was the reason why the Eagles won it all by using HIS system, not someone elses. Foles not only LOVE his system but credit Reich as the reason why they won the SB.

Obviously not everyone can run his system but it can win the SB with the right QB.

And that's how you know Tepper is a meddling owner. No coach with his choice of QBs is going to choose the one that least fits his system.

Purdy is #1 in QBR and Rating along with several other important categories.  San Francisco is also winning games.  These are just the facts.

Bryce is 32nd in QBR and 30th in rating and near dead last in every significant category.  Carolina has won a single game, largely thanks to another surprising if not herculean defensive effort.  Again, these are just the facts.

Facts are knowable things.  We know Purdy is among the best playing and Bryce is among the worst.  Why that's the case is certainly subjective and good conversation.  However, making statements like Bryce would be an All Pro at San Francisco is nothing more than your opinion.  Anyone that pretends their opinion carries the same water as the facts isn't worth having a discussion with.

You hit everything on the head, you are talking about Qbs having a ranking gap of 1 and 32. To just say Bryce would be a All pro by simply being in another system is just a big reach. I could understand if he was ranked in the middle of the pack atleast. When i hear statements like that it just comes off like fans are just really biased about bryce instead of realistic.

Besides that three week span filled with TO(I think he was coming off concussion?), purdy is killin it. Hes 10x the QB young is. Plus I thought he would be a weak spot, NOPE. Hes a strength on the best roster in the NFL.

No he wasn’t.  Doug Pederson was the reason.  Doug Pederson adapts and adjusts to his talent. You literally find can find folks  detailing Doug adapting and adjusting  right now with the Jag.  It’s what he does.  On top of that, Frank Reich even acknowledges Pederson was doing legendary playcalling that SB run.

Frank has proven in SD, Indy and now here….when he is in charge of an O.  He doesn’t adjust well. He doesn’t adapt well.  He likes to do what Frank does and sticks with it until it ends and it always ends the same.  All 3 times shown the door for the same reason.

* Nick Foles was compete trash in Indy when Frank actually ran an offense with him.

    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
    • Didn’t get around to watching this one but looks like Pistons played their starters and actually tried…? Unlucky that they sit vs Magic, etc and try vs us. Hopefully we can beat the Heat and then Magic or 6ers with no Embiid. BUT if not, the NBA really should give us the lottery win this year like they did Mavs last year. Another high pick could be our final missing piece and have us as legit top contenders next year and going forward if we’re healthy. Or trade it for a Giannis type
