How freaking horrific!  Yep, I'm in the "hang it up" camp.  Dude made plenty of money, he's got a kid and he's only 30.  Football is such a dangerous sport, and often times fan forget how terrible the injuries can be.  Hopefully he's able to make a full recovery, and for his sake: retire.  It's not worth it.

another reason to ban Thursday night games. concussion can happen at any time during any game but the turn around from the previous Sunday game is too short to recover from.

That was the play? Looked like he got the wind knocked out of him or even some bruised ribs. I couldn't really see if his head hit the turf hard or not.

He was hit sideways. Your neck can't absorb the impact nearly as well as it can front to back. Know someone that had a TBI that caused some memory issues and they haven't resolved 7 years later. Brain injuries are no joke.
