If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck...it's a duck.

Also now and forever it's fug Nick Saban and Alabama as far as I'm concerned. I can't believe people here thought an endorsement from that snake oil salesman was a sign we just picked a hall of famer. Yet the same folks thought the S2 was the new cheat code for a fast track to a rookie franchise QB.

Stop buying into nonsense and just get back to drafting good football players.

Yep, it’s so toxic to keep starting a player who gives you no chance to win and worse than the backup. Everyone in the building knows it and it’s ruining this franchise. Get young the fug off the field!

I swear, sometimes the WRs’ errors and drops, along with the oline in pass protection, it’s  almost like they are doing it on purpose

These players know garbage when they see it be it scheme or leaders and they know with this kid they have zero chance of getting their contract incentives

Chark won’t be back and wants out…Theilen hasn’t exactly been dazzling since the Reich firing

I go back to Dalton in Seattle…the scheme and WRs and OL didn't look nearly as tragic as they do …think if they had stayed with that power running game plus Dalton…this is at least an 8 win team

i still don’t know how Bryce got that C on his jersey.

Honestly, how can you draft a nfl qb that can’t sneak a ball for 3 feet or throw a sideline pass….it is simply mind boggling

We've all been wrong before. We've all wanted prospects who went on to bust and didn't want prospects who turned out to be great players. I've certainly done both and I'll do both again in the future. It's fine. It's the folks who can't swallow the bitter pill and do mental gymnastics to create ever shifting narratives of excuses while refusing to acknowledge their own fallibility that baffle me.

The good (if you can call it that) thing is, there are only like three of them left.

After the next draft cycle when people tend to start forgetting the year before. It is a lot easier than saying 'I was wrong'. That or it will be 'they ruined him like Carr' and not he was also a bust like Carr, only one of those was ever true and Carr did a lot of that damage himself with his limitations.

No doubt in my mind the narrative is going to be that the team ruined him. Media will blame the clearly dysfunctional organization before admitting they were wrong about Young.

When the coaches brought in Dalton for that sneak earlier in the season, that’s when I told myself this wasn’t going to work and Bryce isn’t going to be a franchise QB.

Why fug Saban? His job is to field a winning college football team and few have done it better. Of course he's going to speak positively of his prospects, it helps him recruit when they get drafted highly.

Being mad at Nick Saban or Bryce Young for doing all they can to maximize his draft status is akin to the Chiefs being mad at the ref for throwing a flag on their WR who was obviously lined up offsides. The anger is understandable, but misdirected. We should be mad at the dumbass Panthers for being duped, not Bryce and his camp for seeking to maximize his draft stock just like the Chiefs should be mad at their dumbass WR for lining up offsides.

Well trade him for a 2nd lol. If it was the team he would still have trade value. I'm guessing nothing before a 5th at best and most teams wouldn't send a 7th with his NFL film out there.

Being a 'draft expert' is a job with so little accountability, it's worse thN weatherpeople. They just have to wait until the next draft when there is so much crap being produced that it's hard for most to remember the last years dump. Rinse and repeat.

I know some Alabama fans and they are great people. I just feel the way I feel about this and if someone wants to say I'm being unreasonable then so be it. I still feel the way I feel.

With Saban it's just arrogance and the perceived prestige that is brought along with the reputation of Alabama. Often time that team is quite literally men among boys. The league is seeing two of the current worst starting quarterbacks in the NFL thanks to Saban and the hype machine of Alabama. Yes we do indeed have utterly incompetent fools running our team but they were not the only ones who bought into the Bryce Young machine. The broader sports media also plays a substantial part in this. Generally any of Bryce Young's faults or concerns were minimized in the weeks before the draft while Stroud was under a microscope for every little thing including just being a QB from Ohio State even though as we now know he is the superior prospect in every way.

In life we have to learn things the hard way sometimes. I definitely will look at the draft and the intricacies involved specifically with QB's and the evaluation process differently going forward now.

Team is being ran ass backwards, from my couch, I could see after a couple games young was not ready and after the Seattle game question how he won the starting job ? As the season progressed it was evident he was being forced on the staff, but because of what we gave up, they refused to just sit young and get him to work on things like footwork, deep ball accuracy and touch etc, probably will lose the locker room due to it along with other lingering after effects

team is doomed for the near future, barring the greatest span of decision making by people who have demonstrated consistely that they aren’t capable of making said decisions

This club will not be relevant for a good while I'm afraid. We're teetering Browns South territory as is.

I woke up this morning and we are 1-12. It just s....   How did we become so bad. I AM PISSED. From last year to now and who would want to play here, we look so bad. Sorry, it's been a long season

Don't get me wrong. I'm not fan of Saban in the least, I just put zero blame on him for the Panthers' talent evaluation blunder.
