Im not the biggest tomlin fan, but the guy has 14 winning seasons out of 15.....That 15th one ended 8-8. Thats the stuff panthers fans dream of. Plus LOLOLOLOLOL at the " hes just riding cowhers players", for 15 years?????? my god. In this mess of a season hes 7-7!!! Hes the only person on earth able to control Abrown.

Plus hes always had to deal with ravens each year. Then the bungals got borrow and browns finally got all those #1s and early draft picks to pay off. Much stiffer comp than the NFC south was.

Come on huddle, this is 2023 panthers embarrassing.

Does this make Colbert, the guy you want, look bad too? He didn’t pick Pickens, but he did pick AB, and Rudolph. He also picked that receiver who used to give up on plays, Chase Claypool.

Hadn't looked at when they were drafted, but I know over the last several years Colbert and Tomlin weren't on the best of terms. The series of one year contracts Colbert took was partially because of a power struggle between them that Colbert ultimately lost.

Bottom line for me, though. The Steelers are a mess right now, and the receiver room seems to be a big part of it (not just Pickens).

That shocks me because I feel like in the past (hell, even just a couple of years ago) that sort of thing never would have been tolerated.

It was tolerated long before this batch of receivers came in. Colbert picked AB, and Tomlin was able to keep him under control for the most part. Claypool didn’t hustle, and that was a Colbert pick. Martavious Bryant was tolerated. Don’t even have to mention Rudolph and Big Ben.

Through all that, they kept winning. Colbert and Tomlin were able to keep the ship running. Colbert left, and Tomlin has still been able to keep the ship running. If you’re going to insinuate that you wouldn’t want Tomlin due to “lack of control”, then it’s fair to do the same with the architect of some of those Steeler teams; especially since there was troubles back then too.

I'd take Tomlin as long as we're not fuging short leashing him. Let him run his team. And give him more than a season to fix this poo show.

Tepper went from "we're gonna give Rhule 7 years" to "ok so he got a couple" to "Frank isn't getting a full season". At this rate, whoever the next coach is has 5 games to win or he's fired too

Tomlin walked into a good situation. Big Ben was already on the team. It's hard to say how much influence Tomlin really had on Pitts success. And it appears Tomlin and the Steelers will most likely not make the playoffs this year, which will put Tomlin at 0-3 without Ben. People can flex on how he still gets 9-wins every season, but those wins are meaningless. You play to win it all, not just for a winning record. Just like our 15-1 season. It didn't mean Jack in the end because we lost in the SB.

I wouldn't be totally against Tomlin, but I just don't know if he's legit or not, and if he's past his prime. As a HC, at least.

At this point, I would take just being relevant again , and looking forward to Sundays again

Even Mediocrity sounds good when you are at the bottom
