We didn't make the trades we should've made and made all the ones we shouldn't have.

No trade down in 2021 from #8 with teams calling (could've gained a 1st)

No Burns trade at one of the highest market non-QB values you'll find  (2 firsts)

Didn't play hardball in CMC's deal with multiple teams calling

Traded for Sam Darnold (gave up a 2nd, 4th and 5th)

Traded for CJ Henderson (gave up a third)

Traded for Matt Corral (gave up an extra 3rd)

Traded for Brandon Smith (gave up a higher pick package)

Traded for #1 Overall (gave up DJ Moore and a boatload)

Traded up for DJ Johnson..next picks proceeded to be Achane, Diaby and Spears lol

Fail after fail after fail after fail after fail

this FO has no idea how to do anything right.

once tepper bought this team we've been doing nothing but fail at everything we do. we don't just fail, we make every failure epic.

tepper has yet to prove he can do anything right. i mean he hasn';t done ONE THING right since he bought this team. zero. nada.

Far from correct. He fell to us when drafted. He’s a very good DE..which someone will fall in love with

huh?  I was implying he has 2nd round pick written all over him….as in what a team would offer for him.

And it’s a fact he has only hit double digit sacks once in his career after an half decade in the league and teams will be negotiating with a Carolina team that doesn’t want to pay him.

Burns is a good speed pass rusher.  Burns isn’t actually very good DE.   He is a weak run defender and frankly is limited in how he gets to the passer vs a more complete and dominant pass rusher

The last big DE deal was Sweat and he only brought a 2nd. Without the contract uncertainty(because he agreed to it first) and not being a liability on at least 40% of his snaps. Now Burns doesn’t even excel in his biggest strength with a DT that had a great year.

You have to tag him which will tie up 23M in cap room whether he signs or not. Which he won’t. He would have to agree with a new team on a contract before he would sign. Why would a team give him a lot more that and give up a first when he wouldn’t be worth it if he was a FA? Knowing he is just handcuffing the cap and how much you want him gone. Why didn’t a contender come get him this year when his salary was still at 16M?

Yeah tag and trades are actually pretty rare and there's a specific set of circumstances that have to be in place for them to really be viable.  The posters on this site make it seem easier and more obvious than it really is.  The team applying the franchise tag has the least leverage of all the parties involved.

I was screaming at the time for Fitt to trade him for 2 firsts and a second. Deal of a lifetime. Now we have an OLB who wants more money than he's worth, and he has that idea because of FItt. It was Fitt who refused the trade and made the statement that he was a cornerstone of our defense. Well he sure is sh!t is NOT that important to our defense AND he wants a mega deal. Fitt you idiot.

6th in pass rush win rate this season. His stats look bad because teams didn't throw much because of the teams limited offensive production.

He had his highest run defense grade this season and was average at it. [67-68 grade]

Coverage numbers were really good as well.

Pass rush statistically speaking He was one of the best in the NFL this season but only had 170 pass rush opportunities. (Meaning using advanced stats) Going off that and Compared to everyone not named Parsons, the average pass rush opportunities was over 300.

I don't want Burns traded for peanuts now. Now we're f-ing keeping him. He's staying, and Fitt you had better make a good deal. You must have had a plan when you refused the Rams, so execute your plan and make a good deal for the team. That or I don't ever want to hear anything Fitt has to say about anything. Ban his comments from the huddle.

    • I can say that I have defended Canales because I get that they are doing all they can to keep from looking like idiots for drafting Bryce, from the trade up to signing $150m guards to drafting XL and Brooks etc---nothing seems to work.  And Hiring Canales was part of the Bryce Young rehab program, so so he can't really decide to "move on."  That has to come from Morgan and Tepper. Personally, I think Bryce is due for an injury.  He is small, he is not thick, and he has been a LOT more healthy than most any other QB has who has endured so much pressure.  The thing that bothers me is this---Bryce really does not go through his progressions quickly.  He locks on to his presnap read and stays locked onto him for too long--he seems to fail to anticipate the WR/TE's positioning on the play before the cut--for example, if the WR is running a dig and the CB has his back to the inside of the field, he should be open for a second or less just after the cut.  He seems to wait until the cut has been made before deciding, then checking down quickly while moving in the pocket. OL:  There seems to be a lack of communication--is that on Mays?  Watch this team presnap--they seem a bit confused at times.   I can almost predict the success rate of the play by watching the center and QB before the snap.
    • Anyone else remember back in 2010 when Fox piloted having music under the in-game replays during one of Carolina's games? Not the commercial bumpers but the actual replay clips that the announcers would talk over. Pretty sure it was vs the 49ers. And it was terrible. Point being, Carolina continues being so bad that we get the networks trying things out during their games.
    • Is it bad I found this video more hilarious than pathetic? I am still laughing at that one play where half the people on the field ran into each other and Bryce still couldn't see Chuba wide open... Also laughing at Cade blocking nobody and somehow losing his cleat Man this offense is a poo show
