For half what he's willing to pay

Nah Arthur Blank can (effectively) pay as much as tepper can if he wants to. Theres no salary cap for coaches, but tepper isn’t going to pay someone so much that blank can’t match.

if tepper wants to do one thing to really piss off the other owners it’d be insanely inflating coaching salaries for the third time in five years.

My point is Blank won't have to match.  I'd really love that because it would piss Tepper off so fuging much to know he can't buy whatever he wants and that his behavior has consequences

As someone who lives in GA and works with Falcon fans, I can tell you that they are rejoicing. Much like us, Atlanta has had their revolving door at QB and it proved costly yesterday with playoff implications on the line. So it was funny hearing a couple of my buddies say,"I can't believe I am saying this but GO PANTHERS! Beat the Bucs!"

Can't wait to see tepper lose his number one candidate to a division rival

it's sad that my only support towards this team going forward is seeing this guy made to look absolutely terrible. it's like unjustly losing custody of your kids and this guy just has no clue how and why but at some point it ends but not for a long time. i dk.

    • It's just a talking head.  Talking about gambling. If anybody takes the under on 4.5 wins, they're most likely losing their money.   So he's only saying if you want to bet on a possible sleeper, take the over.  It's not rocket science.  Pathetic that so many on the huddle have reduced themselves to posting purely trash every time they hit the submit button.
    • I mean I think the best case scenario has to hit for the Panthers and everyone else in the NFCS has to hit their worst case scenario.  Personally, I think this is the year that NO finally collapses and I think they finish 4th in the division regardless.  ATL is overrated but still likely a 6-9 win team. TB plays tough football, their defense will be there but their success depends on the offense, they too are a 6-9 win team.  The Panthers are probably 4-6 wins at best. If they find some sort of momentum during the season and get 7-8 wins, and TB and ATL struggle then maybe but I find it very unlikely.
    • We screwed up a couple years ago taking Bryce in the first place.  Nobody held a gun to our head to jump from #9 to #1.  Most people who keep up with draft news knew this 2024 QB class was loaded and we should have waited, which I advocated. It was a dumb move and I knew it.  Now we have to roll with Bryce another year.  That's fine, because this 2025 class isn't that great.  I like Ewers, but not super high on him.  If Bryce shows improvement, which I think he will, that should get him at least one more season before we have to decide on if he's the permanent answer or not.  I've said before, the 2026 draft is the next window for a franchise QB if Bryce isn't the answer. Bryce gets this year and next at a minimum.
