The Last 3 Drafts We Had 22 Total Selections...

It would mean more to me if there was a comparison with other teams. Three seasons is really not that long of time for players to fully develop, especially under disjointed coaching. But, yes, I suspect that we haven't been up to par with most teams, especially not the elite ones.

And if Tepper was not involved as much as people say how many of those would have still happened?

The answer is pretty much all of them.

This is why alot of the narratives around here are overblown.

I’m not worried about his involvement as much as his ability to pick the correct people and to be honest there is such luck involved in that.  If there was a surefire formula every team would have a good coach and gm.

Matt Corral, who fitterer traded up for and had a first round grade on is out of the league after 1 motherfuging year.  How the fug is that possible?  Literally out of the league after 1 year.  Unreal

He didn't really get a shot either. He got hurt in his first preseason under Rhule/McAdoo, and the Reich staff cut him. Given how awful the Panthers were this year you'd think someone would give him the benefit of the doubt. But his exit with the Patriots might be indicative of a bigger issue.

I think the Teppers are legitimately scared of bringing in a completely new staff that might not be a bunch of yes men so they wanna keep some of their culture around so they can keep playing around with football decisions

Do you really think Tepper made those 22 decisions????

Those are all horrible. How can Tepper keep anyone in management and scouting that assembled these? Pathetic.

Yep, again why I’m not interested in an ex-Panther that was part of all of the awful decisions including trades we made and ones we should have.

The guys from the drafts we even call decent are easily replaceable. The only above average talent is a guy we took #8 overall and he’s missed 29 games in 3 years.

It’s comical. Heck, people think he was sending in play calls. Tepper is responsible for everything because he’s made egregiously bad hires, but I do find it funny that some people actually think he’s made every football related decision. It was the same way with Rhule where many in here (not me) forgave Fitterer for having to deal with Rhule and his wife and 2 drafts later with more control, we find that the best value pick we made in Fitterer’s reign was the RB that Rhule’s wife liked.

    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
