It’s for the best. They really shouldn’t keep any coaches from the old regime. Even Evero and the defensive staff, it’s questionable and could create divisions in the coaching staff. They need to avoid what happened last season and have a cohesive staff with a single leader.

Naw, Evero is gone next year anyway as a HC and it’s gives the panthers a 3rd round pick.

We have had some really terrible OL in our history but I'm not sure if any are worse than Zavala.

He might be worse than Nate Chandler and I never thought I'd see anyone worse. A sports writer, upon seeing Nate play for the first time said, "He is like a pillar of ash that disintegrates on contact." Zavala gave Nate a run for his money for Panthers all time worst o-lineman.

Can the Panthers move Ekwonu to Guard already? That will be a positive signal from Dan & Dave. Protect the QB first. Then use timing passes to open up the run. Then dominate with the run & Bozeman/Ekwonu/Moton.

might be in the minority here but I want to give Ickey one more chance at LT. If he sucks ass throughout camp/pre-season then make the switch but He should spend this off-season prepping to play Tackle.

Christensen to LT because I do not think we can draft one that is going to be good enough to start. BC is a very good athlete and he should be ready for LT duties.  He is not a guard.

Probably deserved, but its funny how the perception of Campen went from OL whisperer to dog poo in 1 season.

I'd give him the benefit of the doubt since it only changed when Frank Reich came here, and probably told him to change their blocking scheme to match his playbook, even though our line is built for smash mouth football. But it's all speculation.

Ickey could be an elite LG.  Garbage LT.  Dave knows.  Probably can't get the answer at 33 but let the man cook.

    • I don’t remember Mills from the USFL days just when he was in NO.  But when you saw Smitty it screamed oh yeah, this guy has something. Immediately. So, have not seen anything that dramatic with Young. All I know about him says he is solid with his character and smarts and don’t see a lot of that translating into screaming he really has something. I think the people that say he could possibly acceptably run an offense designed around him, with top flight talent in support, are probably about right. But I can’t see any Pro Bowls or lofty accomplishments in my crystal ball.
    • I thought I read they’d still be there but as a backup in case of malfunction.  So it’s not so much a goodbye as it is they’re being sidelined (I’ll see myself out)
    • Their forecheck is relentless because they are so physical and heavy.  It’s just a perfect mashup for how they play. Florida before Paul Marice played just like us. Speed but with finesse.  Paul made them but into playing heavy. They went and got players that added to that style he wants and it works.  Plus they have the best goalie in the league.  That helps more than anything. The canes have got let Koochie be their guy he will never become the star that most think he will if rod keeps sticking with vets that flame out.    1. Koochie or a Soros type player  2. Switch to zone defense  3. Get heavier.    like I said, I love Rod. Best pro coach ever in the Carolinas sports buy he is holding us back with his philosophy and style.  He is the reason.  He can change all of that with decisions.
