Nicole was a Stroud vote

I still don’t buy Reich.  It was Fitterer and his team.  Which IMO means Morgan and company agreed. I always go to the point guard talk and saving money line was a GM sales talk Tepper repeated.  Fitterer and company were positioned to have the pull.  Not some just fired HC that looked like he was done with it from the jump when he got the pieces given to him.

Reich wanted Carr. Outside of that I’m not sure he really cared. Honestly he seemed a little checked out throughout a lot of the process. Fitt seems to big the main Bryce person. Outside of that who knows. It’s like the Lance Niners move. No one knows who wanted who in its entirety.

I would love frank reich to just spill all the dirt from how bad it was last year and through the draft but imagine since he is still on pay roll and probably keep quite is in his contract thst will never happen.

Me too. I highly doubt a 6'4" former player/coach cast a vote for the half pint pinto. I think the overbearing Dipper slammed his fists on the table and said make it happen and then puppy dog Fitt pushed the agenda. You could almost tell before preseason Reich was not invested or onboard.

As most are saying, its water under the bridge and move on. Move on to another wasted season to placate Dippers ego as him being the smartest man in the room.

We'll never win a championship with the half pint pinto. Fact.

People still forget that Young was the consensus first overall pick.

It wasn't just Tepper. It was nearly all of you here as well

I think you have to piece together scraps and sift through the hype and dysinformation.  Initially, I was Stroud but I sensed that the Panthers were going Young so I started selling it to myself.  I should have stayed with my guns.  Having said that, I am not throwing dirt on Young in his grave either.  I saw a few flashes, and with an OL and a few weapons, Maybe--there is hope.

So he paid Shefter to make him look bad/dumb? The same Tepper we claim is an ego maniac who can't help himself?

Y'all are something else lol.

Yikes. So it goes from consensus pick!! Everyone wanted him!! best by a long shot!!  to… a piece saying the OWNERS of the team (yes, when it says Nicole, it also means Dave as well) didn’t want him.

So Reich obviously didn’t want him and the owners didn’t want him. If this is the case, who the hell was running this roster? Was Fitt really given that much power?

Bet Young feels great right about now.  But baby, you hugged me? lol. What a show. The off-season hasn’t even been really started and the combo save face/hit pieces are already dropping.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
