Wow was he that bad of a player? I thought he was supposed to be pretty good

He feasted in the running game we had under Wilks and got an extension off of that but was never a fit for the zone scheme we ran last year and the one that Canales will supposedly run. He needs to be in a downhill power running scheme like he was in Baltimore

Nice guy. Bad fit for the scheme they want to run

Yep. Square peg, round hole. We have another one in Icky. We've been doing it for years with Chinn. Playing him as a deep safety was dumb. Trying to play him at nickel was even dumber. We just do a lot of dumb stuff as a football organization.

DC said we are running a wide zone concept so not sure what they are thinking leaving icky there

I'm honestly not sure he even works as an OG in that type of scheme. He's a downhill mauler. Same as Bozeman. We might need to just trade him before we destroy any trade value he might have like we did playing Chinn in misfit roles.

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
