How would you feel if he was the pick at 33? He reminds me of Luke in some aspects. Physical and plays sideline to sideline. Good in coverage and plays fast. D.M probably loves this kind of player and being an MLB doesn't hurt either. Fits the mold he is looking for.

Shaq is coming off a major injury and isn't getting any younger. Grab a WR or Edge at 39 and a Center in the 3rd.

Possibility?

I have read his scouting report and he is athletic and gifted but I prefer Payton Wilson or Jeremiah Trotter Jr. If Wilson didn't have injury history, lots of people say he is a first round talent as a MLB, that says a lot.

Trotter will be lucky to be a 3rd rounder with his man coverage issues and inconsistencies as a tackler in a MIKE role.

I see Colson as the best true ILB in this draft. Wilson and Cooper are exciting but not as sure things. Then there’s quite a dip in a rather shallow group.

It’s a need as Jewell+Shaq may not last more than a season, so we’ll see. Personally, I’m preferential to Junior— who knows.

I get not a lot of people watch ACC ball but it’s Payton Wilson for me and I’m a UNC guy.

Wilson arguably had the best season of any linebacker in FBS football last year and he does everything well. He can get after the QB, stop the run, he’s great in coverage, his angles are excellent, etc… All of his question marks (i.e. injury history, strength, and age) have nothing to do with his actual play.

Just watch his tape against UNC, he absolutely dominated.

His competitive nature is exactly what the Panthers need.

I’d take the risk that his injury history is behind him and that with some NFL weight lifting, he’ll get a little stronger.

    • The lack of discipline has seriously been our downfall the last month. Seems like we just went off course this last month and Lee won't address it. You can't just live and die by the 3 when you can attack the paint and at worst draw a foul
    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
