This draft feels like the RAS addiction is still lurking in the FO.

Just a lot of head scratching moves with better options available.

Oh well, such is the way of the Tepper Panthers.

It is what it is.

I think that you're mixing up RAS for upside. We presumably have good good coaches, and we certainly have people closely associated with the franchise and actually closely associated with the GM that know a little something about playing WR and LB. Canales was a WRs coach for goodness sakes. You pick the guys with the upside and coach them up.

That's long been the MO of the Seattle front office that the Fitterer/Morgan network graduated out of. Unlikely to change.

interesting, literally every weakness is coaching related. I guess they feel he didn't have good development at uk and they can provide it. He is Shaq's replacement, so he won't play much this year anyway.

Which seems unlikely 'cos Kentucky coaches the heck out of their players.

Per usual, most of you hating on this kid have probably never seen him play. Hes the perfect outside linebacker for today’s defense. Needs to get stronger, but great instincts.  Especially in coverage. Hope it works out for us.

We play a 3-4, he's in ILB in our system.

I don't think they've taken BPA at each pick, which has lead to some reaching, but the 2nd and 3rd rounders are definitely football players who also happen to be hyper athletic.

Legette - yeah, that's a strange one for me.

Can we question Micheal Jordan’s ability to scout basketball talent?  If so, Morgan is fair game.  Especially given he has been part of what has gone down the last several years

True.

But Michael never worked as a scout etc. he just bought the team and forced his input like Tepper.

Dan worked his way up as a Scout post playing football.

Plus, teams Dan was an Assistant GM prior to here.  All the combined LBs that were taken in the top 100 ended up being pro bowler or all pros.   Now Wallace is the 4th one taken in the top 100

However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down.
