Some studio show staffing changes

Recommended Posts

CBS:
Matt Ryan will join James Brown, Nate Burleson, Bill Cowher and JJ Watt on The NFL Today. The contracts of Phil Simms and Boomer Esiason expired after the Super Bowl

ESPN:
Jason Kelce joins the pre-game show.  Bill Belichick should be a semi-regular guest on the MNF Manningcast. ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown” will likely not include Robert Griffin III

Matty ice won't make it better

He's honestly not bad at all. Self-aware enough to know when to shut the hell up and not say something stupid unlike the other two.

Matt Ryan as a commentator is fine in my book.

But fuck the falcons

I cannot believe anyone still watches those goobers. I do not listen to the pre or post game garbage. It became unbearable a decade ago. It's all I can do is get through the broadcast without putting it on mute.

Any show that doesn't have Boomer or Phil immediately got 100 times better. To say they sucked is an understatement

After 30 years, I still get them mixed up.  I could not watch it.  An older friend of mine used to play at State and he told me stuff about Bill Cowher that turned me against him--

I despised Dan Marino when he was on one of those shows.

I think Kelce was a great hire.  Not sure about Kalil--still mad at Gettlemen over that deal.

The beginning of the end for Phil's career at cbs

I mean, as I try to explain to my wife, it is a viable source of heat with unfortunate side effects.

    • His tendency to body catch makes him a project alone. I'm not grading everyone else on the first 2 games, that was about Bryce and this teams past mistakes. He was always a project compared to the other guys they could have drafted who were much more NFL ready. What was the stat, good WRs produce immediately now and don't really have a slump? He looks closer to Mingo and TMJ then the guys doing well now in his draft class. He is a project and always was. Hopefully he can become an Evens but he looks more like our regular 2nd round WRs and that's not good. And the GM was part of the failed staff last year so no passes on that either. If Dan would have come out and drafted like Fritters wasn't still here anymore then I would give him one but it's way too similar for me. DC wants to pass when he needs to run so it's not like he isn't comparable to the past failures either. His expensive oline is falling apart also. He has all year to prove himself but nothing but benching Bryce looks good yet. It's early but there are plenty of earned criticisms.
    • What type of vapes are you talking about? I don't smoke at all anymore but I don't use the prepackaged vapes either. It's all dry herb vaporizers for me these days. I'd be very cautious leaving the rez with anything. The surrounding doughnut eaters will lose interest fast but decent chance it's still pretty too of mind.
