Has Bryce Played His Last Snap as a Panther?

  1. 1. Do you think Bryce Young will start another game for the Carolina Panthers?

    • No. He's played his last game as a Panther.
    • Yes. He gets another start later this season due to injury or Dalton proving ineffective.
    • Yes. He will get another chance at being the starter after watching and learning for a while.

I think he gets moved in the offseason. I expect at whatever small price we can get.

If they do it will be after the draft and they take a qb. They are in deep doo doo with the qb position. I wouldn't expect Andy to be back if he plays the rest of the season. That would wring every ounce of juice he has left out of him. That means you need a starter and a backup, again.

Oh yeah, it will be post draft for sure.

I think Dalton has plenty of mileage left but his ceiling is just going to get lower as the years roll on. He might slip from average-ish to below average to eventually backup QB only. It's the backside of his career but I don't see him falling off a cliff in the next 2-3.

Regardless, he isn't the future so you don't build around him.

I don't see that much left in him but what is left it's not good enough for what this team needs. I think the entire qb room get replaced before camp.

"Bryce, we'd like for you to meet your new coach."

"Hey, is he like a quarterback rehab specialist."

"Um, not exactly."

"A sports psychologist?"

Nope, he's from Charles Schwabb and he's going to help you make sure those millions we've already paid you last you for a long, long time."

"Now if you'll hand over the playbook, I have some investment pamphlets for you."

I think he's a back-up level QB now and he'll possibly see the field that way. And that's probably his career going forward if he can get a shot to prove himself that way.

And let's face it, back-up NFL QB is one heck of a dream job.

A back-up? That’s a bold prediction. I think he’s Josh Rosen.

  • Vinny was 44 when he played here.
  • Beuerlein was 34 when he set the Panther's franchise record for passing TDs/yards in a season. (Still standing btw)
  • Rodgers is 40
  • Brady was like 45 (I know he don't count)
  • Rivers/Roethlisberger were like 39 when they slipped.
  • Cam was only like 29/30 when his arm went (That was due to TJ Watt).
  • Jake was 32 when his went and he had TJ surgery.

Everyone's arm goes out differently. Dalton hasn't put much strain on it the last couple of years. He probably has 2-3 more years.

What’s the most Pantherish thing that could happen?

Dalton tweaks something.  Canales forced to play the QB he benched.  I mean, it’s our destiny.

that would be 15x worse then simply trotting him out there for wk 3.   They need bring plummer up or just get some jag qb off the streets.  You simply cannot trot bryce out there again.

Makes me wish there was money for Joe Flacco, he would fit right in with that group.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
