Will the national media admit they were wrong?

All we heard all week was:

  • "It's an organizational failure."
  • "He needs more time."
  • "Nobody could succeed there."
  • "He has no weapons."
  • "The offensive line can't protect anyone."

Dalton has proven for the SECOND time that none of that is true. But because Bryce looks like he's 11, I think people want to coddle him and give him the benefit of the doubt.

It was such fanbase gaslighting.

Unfortunately not.  I was already thinking about this.  Now they will just say that the organization Carr'd him.  Even though he has been the exact same player since game 1.

Plenty won't until he goes elsewhere and craps the bed again...and they will still play the ruined card. Seeing the pregame stuff today and it was all Bryce is fine and needs time while it's all Teppers fault his play is dog poo.

Dalton has played in a billion games and fits what Canales does.

Bryce has never fit.  You would have to create something unique with great skill talent.  So it’s still a failure by Carolina.  They drafted a unicorn and thought he could be a regular NFL QB.  Square peg, round hole.  That is an org failure.

He isn't a fit but he isn't a unicorn. He is just a guy who peaked in school. He brings nothing to the table that's special in the NFL.

Outlier and unicorn are two different things.  He's an outlier, definitely not a unicorn.

    • I would say that seems like an odd comment from Morgan, but at the same time it's almost impossible to find a college QB declaring for the draft to have less physical ability than BY so you can assume almost anyone you bring in would be your go to QB sneak/designed run guy.
    • Gronk is the best TE of all time, but he also played with Brady. Clarke was great, but had Peyton and in an era TE's didn't make crazy money. Kittle is great, but the two times he's made the SB, he was still on his rookie contract for one, and the other the 49ers had Purdy on a cheap rookie deal which help them build the rest of the roster. So again, it's not about not wanting an elite TE, of course it would be nice.  But realistically, in today's NFL, unless that elite TE with a top end TE salary is on a team with a GOAT level QB and/or other serious cap savings (i.e. key players on rookie deals), then I think it's not a good use of cap space.
    • This place was the poo pre tepper with tons of hilarious posters like phillyB. Joined in the 2000s during the 07 season and have been here bitching about this team since. but yeah its sadly been dying a slow death, every time I come to this site I am surprised its still up. I think the 2015 season was the absolute peak, the Panthers and this board especially just haven't "felt" the same since then. Igo should really sell the board since he clearly doesn't care anymore. Also, Reddit blows and the Bryce defenders on there need Jesus.
