Adam sure.

If they want Johnson they better be giving up that 1st Rd pick. The moment we trade Johnson to KC he's gonna be an all pro playing with Mahomes. We don't need that happening.

I see this point, however if you are a 4-5 win team in cap hell, devoid of talent and can get a 2nd for the 1 year rental u got for a 6th I think you consider it. Its gonna he hard to resign him in the off season.

This happened a lot last year, because we suck the media and fans on social media just think, “oh they don’t need these guys, they suck”. That’s bs, we have to start keeping our good players. Thelien, I sorta understand, he’s older and wants a ring, but Johnson, no way. It’s time to start building this team.

I agree on this, nothing less than a first to KC because he will ball out there.

You need to find out if he would stay.

We have an elite Oline, a QB who can get him the ball, and a coach who has designed the offense around him being the #1 guy... other than an extension, what more could he want?

Trading DJ would be stupid for both sides IMHO...

Theilen for a day 3 pick seems reasonable for both sides

The Panthers should be selling off all expiring contracts

The same crap I’ve been saying for years. Said we should’ve traded Luvu last year but instead he walked and we got nothing

We’re not winning this year and Schefter reported earlier that Johnson isn’t coming back here so he needs to be traded. I’d imagine a 4th rounder. Gone are the days where teams are giving up 2’s for rentals

A 4th for Diontae sounds like something Fitterer might agree to. No thanks.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
