What were your expectations for this season?

What did you expect this year?

To quote my optometrist, is it better...or worse?

I knew the defense would be horrific.  I was slightly encouraged by the first 2 games of Dalton and the offense.   The play calling and time management needs to be cleaned up.  I think at this rate we are looking at 2-3 wins and thats even going to be hard to get from on out.

Its also really easy to say dan morgan is a poo GM.  Complete poo

Not sure you can expect more than 2-3 wins... with this level of talent...and factor in all the injuries.... Just go out and be competitive with a game plan is all I ask. I want to be left saying...damn, if he made that catch or damn if he coulda made that stop or damn if chubba coulda got loose we coulda won that game...

Not a lot of wins unless something clicked, benching Bryce was huge for my mental of the org moving forward, injuries have decimated any hope I had for the rest of the season. Continue to evaluate the roster and the head coach. Roster stinks as expected and I'm still enjoying the Canales experience so far.... it's about what I expected I suppose? Maybe a little worse

I had no expectations I was in wait and see mode.

We won our 3rd game and the fanbase had a spark again. It lasted 1 week and now everything is back to normal.

I'm already thinking about the draft. This has been normal for this franchise after week 5 the season is usually over for us.

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
