Yep and as bryce is abysmal, you  wont see  them otherwise 

andy made a mistake today but was nit the problem 

the happiest player in the league is Young, 9 million a year to do nothing 

he looked very content in the sideline

we already know what young  is…and hus ceiling as does the rest of the league.

We have Offensive players that need development. I don't give 2 shits about Bryce or the first pick. The pick doesn't matter if we take a QB and once again don't know the quality of the receivers we expect him to throw to. 

Try to win every week. We're not going to win many, if any, but we owe it to the future of the team to allow as many players to progress as we can.

Honestly, might as well treat this like an extended preseason and experiment.  I'd do something wonky and do some kind of 2 QB system, maybe Andy starts the games, Bryce gets 2nd half or maybe something I think would be interesting, each QB getting every other game.  Bryce has 2 weeks to prep for whoever his opponent is, and on his offweek, he can watch and continue to learn how a veteran prepares for a game.  If it doesnt work, who TF cares, our season is already toast.

We have guys like Johnson and Hubbard who are playing for new contracts (with us or someone else), coaches that are coaching for their jobs (both sides of the ball), heck Horn even said after the game the defense let the O down especially since they are moving the ball unlike last season (yikes). Point I’m making is, these guys want to win and play well, Dalton gives the team the best chance for that happen, players on offense perform better with Dalton. Yeah, we won’t win poo with Andy and yes, Andy isn’t the future, but it’s better for the team he plays.
 

Canales was going to lose the locker room if he kept playing Bryce, heck he could have lost his job. Playing bryce does nothing but ruin the locker room and possibly get guys fired or even ruin their chances at better contracts.

      I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.

      Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.

      Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
