Ian Thomas with a worse grade than Jonathan Mingo is so fitting for this franchise. Three regime changes and still going strong. The Panthers in a nutshell.

Pretty sure panthers could cut all their te pick up fa and ps off other rosters and get better play out of them.

My biggest issue with pff grading is they might see something as negative but that’s what said player was tasked to do.

I don't how they grade but there are a lot of times it doesn't match up with what I thought I saw. And this is for sure one of those times.

Aside for the grading, we got called for a bullshit roll block or whatever they call it these days (he went into the guy shoulder to waist at least, got defeated and pushed down and THAT was called, as if he just went low to start with). And on my rewatch they clearly did it to our player on the other side of the same play. I think it was 77 they went low just like that on.

Brady Christensen is a pleasant surprise. If he can emerge as a long-term answer at center that's huge.

BC's in a contract year but center would be the perfect fit for him since he is a more athletic, pulling type linemen and his "short arms" would be much of an issue since he isn't going against edge rushers while on the inside

I mean that is great in theory but his struggles are usually him not being able to withstand stronger, more physical players. He has to be exceptional in terms of technique to overcome some of that.

IMO, his best value is what he has been for us. High level backup OL that can fill in at multiple spots.

Before I look at the results, I will say that BC did a good job at C--Coker at WR, Sanders at TE, and Hunt at G.  Chuba at RB was good.  Nijman was terrible. Thomas was terrible.

I did not see a lot of good on Defense--Woods sucked, in my view.  Wallace had some moments where he was good, but both LBs were MIA a lot.  Inside, the DTs were terrible.  Not much pressure from any OLB.  Seeing the defense is going to be interesting--Horn was a bit off but good at times, Jackson was solid again.  I am going from memory and was not grading them.

    • Cam had his moments for me like celebrating a 1st down when we were down big, but overall, dude was a big kid playing the game he loved. He made the game fun for fans and engaging. He was great for fans, and probably for bringing in new young fans, but not enough old fans with $$$ and instead of embracing change they stuck with Sid and his old balls.
    • Most of our success vs Dallas has come in big games. Playoffs and the destruction Luke brought down on them in that Thanksgiving game.    Seems like in regular season stuff they own us. I don’t know if the past affects Sunday, just saying. And we haven’t laid an egg at home yet this year, this is an opportunity for that.    I would love to see the opposite happen, and it could. It isn’t last year. I am stuck in the middle and have no clue what is going to transpire.
