No, we don't need to see Bryce Young again

What helps Bryce Young’s stock rise….is Andy Dalton continuing to suck like he has the last couple weeks.

worse Dalton plays….higher the odds you of the compensation/pick we can get for Bryce.

because then more buy into the narrative that it’s just Carolina as problem #1.  See basically every QB.

What exactly are you hoping to see?

Xavier Legette plainly told you after Bryce was benched what he was looking forward to. The deep ball. It doesn't exist with Bryce Young. He came into the game against the Commanders down 33 points with absolutely nothing to lose in that game or his NFL career to this point and tossed a pass behind the line of scrimmage and went back to the sideline. That's your first overall pick.

And his other pass also went for negative yards. There’s absolutely nothing redeeming about him. He only throws past 10 yards when he gets a running start and is rolling out of the pocket. He is worse than any captain checkdown we could find on the street right now. Dalton at his worst is probably Bryce’s B game. We don’t need to see him again. And playing him lowers his trade value even more every time he takes a snap. I think or hope everyone in this god forsaken organization has decided to stash him on the bench so they can find a taker at the trade deadline.

Where are the bombs to XL with Dalton? Nowhere to be found. Missed wide open XL 5  times last game. Dalton blows. The Raiders game will be forgotten as fast as Will Levi’s’ 4 TD debut

With the exception of Young the narrative fits. It's definitely been a Carolina problem during the Tepper era. Let the bidding begin.

This team doesn’t owe Bryce jack ish. Bryce owes his teammates a winning effort but he elected to watch tv and play video games when he could have at least tried.

Funny you don't see this reported in the media anywhere.

Dalton is at least willing to try and make NFL plays and take chances. Bryce either isn’t willing or isn’t able to do that. His last try was against the chargers where he threw “with anticipation” right into double coverage to a guy who was nowhere near open.

Well when he fails for the rest of the season that leaves us no choice but to move on.

Dalton isn't the answer either. Play Bryce and let him determine his future.

if he plays, he only kills any potential trade value.

We've seen him in 18 games now. He has not magically learned to be better in 5 games on the bench.

As a reminder, here's his stat line for the last nine full games he's started:

148/264 (56.1%), 1439 yards (160 yards per game), 2 touchdowns, 5 interceptions, 32 sacks

This is over NINE games. We lost these games by an average score of 10-24.

In his career, Bryce Young has 11 touchdown passes. 5 of those came from two games (Detroit and Green Bay). Two of those Detroit ones were in garbage time.

The problem with Bryce Young is not that his confidence is shaken or that he just needs time to learn. The problem is he is physically not capable of playing professional football in this league. Everyone on the team knows it.

False - we need to see him again and fans said the same thing about Darnold and Mayfield.

Putting Young in with those guys is giving him credit for having stuff he doesn't have. NFL tools.

It is not really a good comparison.

    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
    • I don't think Canales has any problem benching Bryce or moving on if Bryce doesn't come out playing like the end of last year.  It's year 3 no more excuses for Bryce
