Positive signs from Bryce

I’m looking at Bryce’s career stats vs Jamarcus Russell’s and I mean….

With Russell at least he had all world arm talent. You could understand what the Raiders saw in him and how they could be convinced that he could become an elite NFL QB. I just saw nothing in Bryce that made me think that he could become a high level NFL starter. I thought he projected as a marginal starter/good backup type and even with that evaluation I had him significantly overrated.

I don’t understand it.
And it is fine to say, Mike Sanders sucks, Ian Thomas sucks, but don’t you fuging dare hate on Bryce.

Miles actually looked decent today when he got touches. Bryce threw him a bad pass on that 4th down plan, but outside of that he looked good IMO.

I may be in minority but I saw some positive signs from Bryce today

he stood in the pocket a lot more and threw despite the pressure, attempted throws downfield, showed better command and poise

Negatives; inconsistent accuracy, terrible timing of interceptions, needs to be more aggressive downfield.

i expected a worse performance tbh, he looked improved compared to first two weeks but not sure if he deserves more starts.

part of me wants to see if he can build off this, maybe I’m crazy

Godson you disappointed me with this post.

For that I can no longer call you Godson. You just Nas now.

There is no Qb worthy of a top 3 pick next year so whoever gives the team the best chance to win is going to play for the next 1-2 years. Bryce is durable at least and did more than Mayfield and Rodgers and Herbert against this defense

Being durable is only a positive if you're good.

He genuinely looks like if you grabbed a 22 year old fan out of the stands and handed him the football.

He's small, he's slow, he doesn't know the plays, he can't read the field, he can't make the throws, he doesn't want to get hit - it's actually astounding to watch.

So he’s short, small, weak, super slow, has a weak arm, and not good at football.

But he’s smart on paper kinda!

You probably haven’t noticed that I have commented a couple of times that he was running hard this year. From the 1st game.
I used him because people say He Sucks a lot.

I can't recall another #1 pick or high 1st rounder period that just looked like he flat out didn't have NFL caliber talent. Plenty bust, but it's usually not because of a complete and utter lack of NFL caliber physical talent. There's other factors that made the physical talent not translate. But with Bryce he just flat out looks like he doesn't belong. If you didn't know who he was you'd assume he was a UDFA who went to the owner's D3 alma mater or something and only got his NFL cup of coffee because of that and he has no shot of actually making a roster.

Sounds like Bersin. Calling him the Bersin of QBs is about right.

I'm honestly not sure he's even long-term backup caliber.

What is there to be unsure of?  Maybe some HGH in the offseason to grow a little?  Finally learn some fundamentals?  Find a single solitary competitive spark?

Little bro is on the fast track to SEC TV.

I seriously doubt anyone would ever care if you are disappointed.  You should mature a little and let other people have different opinions than yours

    • AR was never ready to be the opening day starter, just like Bryce. These rookie QBs are rushed into service when they really need time to develop and learn without the pressure of being the immediate team savior. I liked AR with the right HC, not Frank, and always thought he'd need some time to get up to the NFL speed and competitive level. He probably would have learned over the course of the year that running repeatedly into NFL defenders as a QB is a recipe for a short career. Cam was the exception, not the rule.
    • Oh I forgot about Barkov….im naming players on a team I don’t like….the team is stacked.  Seth Jones!  Holy poo
    • It’s like posting with myself haha. For those that know…   boys, it’s the canes vs Florida for the next three years. We all know these two teams will see eachother again in the ECF 2-3 three years. It’s going to be fun.
