Team looks undisciplined

His in game decisions are not helpful and not smart

same for personnel groupings

I understand the challenges with what he has but for the love of God, a fake punt on your own 23?   That call on 4th and 2 to the short side of the field, please

No point in discussing the defense …but to be the OC and the HC, it is not working

If he called two plays you liked, would it be working?

I'm not down for a big argument I'll leave that to who is, I gave him a get out of jail card for the season. I think it could take him three years to get a good handle on the job.

I want stability inside that organization and it will not come with firing him.

edit: or, if you could guarantee that we would have it if he was fired, then go ahead.

I can’t even tell that we have a coach, honestly. I have no idea what gets worked on week after week and it’s been this way since the first preseason game. I don’t know if it’s the players not responding to him or what but it’s straight pitiful. Talent is one thing, I get it…. but the entire team looks like they have no clue on what’s going on. That’s on him. I think he’s not the fit we need and he’s in way over his head.

I could smell the quit all the way from Georgia.

I have to wonder if anyone in the entire franchise actually gives a sh*t anymore. These NFL execs and coaches and even a good chunk of the players make tons of money. The people who work on the executive and management side of football are not special. It’s a fantastic level of good ol boy networking and nepotism to get one of those jobs and move up the ranks. It breeds allowing losers like Scott Fitterer to do literally nothing of note and get a GM job by swindling a naive owner. In summary, most of the people making the decisions are set for life with the amount of money they make, no one is really hurt in the end by being inept retards at their jobs, so why do they care? They don’t. The team will just keep regurgitating the same old results because no one cares and expects to get fired and collect another fat paycheck from another team. The Panthers are done.

No

INMHO

He needs to either be an OC or an HC

Not both and certainly not with this team

Few head coaches are good  enough to be successful at both

I don’t really disagree. Few are, and thinking that because a couple are we need to have that too…

I think something like that may end up being on the table for him to stay.

Honestly, at this point with just a few games to show what he’s made of, he might be my favorite Panthers coach in history. At least he takes chances and doesn’t tuck his tail in between his legs with a minute to go before the half.  The fake punt didn’t work, but I liked the call at that point in the game. He’s still learning, but I like his mindset. Haven’t ever been able to say that before.

I do too. Like his mind set. Or like it for offensive football anyway and hope he can learn the head coach stuff. I have o ly heard that there is no way you are ready for what being an NFL head coach entails if you have never done it.

    • I've been reading around on different websites about our team and OTAs and minicamps.  There are several members of this team that need to step up.  These are a few of mine.  Please feel free to add to the iist. 1. Bryce Young, Obviously the No. 1 person who needs to step up.  Bryce has been given everything a QB could ask for.  We have a top tier offensive line. Big WRs that can get open and make plays.  A decent running game.   Over tha past couple of years we have really put enough players in position to help him.  He has to be the guy to step up and utitlize his players. 2. Jaelan Phillips, Just because of the massive contract we gave him.  He has to be the leader of the pass rush.  He has to be in double digit sacks or the money isn't worth it.  He has to bring Scourton and the rest of the group to the top. 3. Ejiro Evero, Two years ago he had the statically worst defense in NFL history but was given a reprieve because we focused primarily on the offensive side of the ball for Young.  Last year we improved and we just didn't have enough to stop elite QBs.  This year he has been given just about everything a defensive coordinator could ask for.  IMO he has 4 cornerbacks that have impressed this offseason.  He received solid help for Brown with Hunter and Phillips. Our weakest area, LB Corp, we signed Lloyd to solidify that group.  With all the tools he has this season he needs to show why we kept him after 2024.  IMO he has no excuses this season.   Lastly, IMO is X. Legette. He has shown sporadic flashes but nothing to justify being a first round pick.  The WR room is stacked this season and any number of players from that group could make the 53 man roster. XL is going to have to show out this preseason.  At minimum, he performs well enough to possibly get a trade to a team needing a WR.  I think with T-Mac, Coker and Brazzell in the mix for the top three position we would be wise to utilize the remaining WR spots for players with a larger ceiling than XL.  Training Camp and Preseason will sort them out and IMO if XL doesn't flat out show out he's done in Carolina.  Feel free to add to this list.  And of course, your opinion.
