Yup. Bryce will likely play us out of position to draft a better QB prospect if he plays the rest of the season this well, but we will want to bring someone in from FA.

It's annoying because most decent qb's can do what he did today, but when it comes down to needing a deep ball out of the pocket or a qb sneak etc he's not physically able to do it. His arm did look better today but it still comes down to those game of inches moments where defenses know he can't do certain things so they can game plan against the obvious alternatives

Same here. This is probably only the second game that I can say I would truly impressed with the way he played. Hopefully he will make me eat crow and be this good for the rest of his career for us.

There are a few freak athlete talent edge rushers in the draft. Since I doubt we get Travis Hunter, that should be the way we go

Agree. I was really impressed with Young. First time I felt like he was possibly good enough. The Thielen PI in the end zone was a solid pass and the drop by Legette was a perfect pass.

He was on point today, more accurate than I ever recall before. Heck, he was even making decent decisions when no one was open.

Sucked to lose but damn fun game to watch, especially the drive to tie it.

They're a pretty mediocre team being carried by an all-time great QB. That's five games they've won on the last play of the game. Literally half of their wins they've had to pull it out literally at the last second. That's crazy.

Their defense isn't bad either. They just aren't the offensive juggernaut they used to be, outside of Mahomes magic

Their offense is plodding.  Losing Hollywood and Rice were huge blows. Losing Pacheco didn’t help either… their screen game just isn’t there.

If he plays like this the rest of the season, they'd better be bringing in another backup level vet, and focus on defense and weapons in the off-season.

Minus him having a career worst year.

It's really been the defense carrying them.

Yeah, their D definitely carried them today making Bryce look legit while Mahomes went for three TDs and the scamper to get them in range for the game winning FG.

Their D has been good this year but their overall offense is basically trash. That's what I mean by Mahomes carrying them. Mahomes is 12th in the league in passing while they have a bottom 10 ranked rushing attack and only two receivers ranked in the top 100 (Kelce at 34 and Hopkins at 73).

They honestly looked shocked that they went toe to toe with the Panthers lol. Their locker room speech on TV was like yeah we got work to do lol.

Right but there's no reason we can't invest a 2nd or 3rd round pick in another young QB as an insurance policy.

It's crazy that basic notions like this about what is best for the team elicit such emotional tomfoolery and poo reactions.

I can guarantee you if Canales wants to be a successful head coach he feels the same way about the position.

    • The lack of discipline has seriously been our downfall the last month. Seems like we just went off course this last month and Lee won't address it. You can't just live and die by the 3 when you can attack the paint and at worst draw a foul
    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
