Mason Graham Bandwagon

Javon Hargrove could be a cap casualty in San Fran. Trade for him and select T Mac or Burden depending on where we land in draft order.

Or figure out a way to trade for Hargrave & sign Higgins. Then we can select Travis Hunter or the best EDGE rusher with our first pick and make a playoff run in 2025.

I'd rather Milton Williams in FA than Hargrave

Mason Graham is the perfect fit. Dude plays angry and would bring more “dawg” to this team. For those saying we don’t need him bc we have Brown, do y’all not remember teams still gashing us up the middle before Brown got hurt? You’d have to double team one of them but couldn’t do both. I get we need edge rushers too but if u are taking BPA, it’d be so hard to pass up on a guy who we know would instantly upgrade this line considerably. Last night when it was looking like we were about to win, I was thinking we’d need a gas mask leak on draft night for him to fall to us. Looks like he’s still within reach!

If youre drafting in a top 10 and already have an elite run stuffer, i dont think you want another run stuffer in then top 10. You can get plenty of them in R2-R4.

This.. didn't the Titans get sweat like in the second round? Guy is one of the best in the league. Hunter is the grand prize of this draft after that edge

This team is going nowhere until it can stop the run with any sort of consistency. Sick and tired of getting gashed every single week. Graham next to Brown could be an elite duo for years to come in the middle of our defense. I hear the argument for Hunter or Tet loud and clear, but the run defense is the single biggest hindrance to success for this team right now.

I get your logic and appreciate the level of frustration behind this post--next season, we will have Brown back. That makes everyone on the DL better.    In my view, A'shawn Robinson and Shy Tutttle have underperformed their contracts and one will be released if not both.  Both will be 30 in 2025.  Cutting them saves us about $13m--and I am not sure we can replace them for that.  I think we need a big, 350 lb run stuffer inside.

If you are drafting early and you need a QB, you almost half to take a QB.  If you need an Edge, you have to take the edge.  While I love the player you mention, I think we get an upgrade vs. the run when we get Brown back.  I also think you draft a DT in round 2 or 3.

Depending, of course, on what we do in free agency.  Last year, Evero got screwed when all efforts went into the offense.  I was not a huge fan of the Legette pick, but give him time.  I think we got the best RB and second best TE along with a very good (potentially) WR--that is not bad.  This year, we need to address the defense and find a stud WR and mid round QB to develop.

I disagree. Edge is one of the strong points of this draft. Abdul Carter the guy from Georgia, Pierce, this edge group I think is better than last years

There is an edge from Mississippi that I like, and the big guy from Tex AM (Scourton) has an unreal spin move.  I think we need to draft one in the first round (maybe to his point) because they will be gone by pick 50 or so.  If there is an elite WR sitting there in the first round, depending on what we did in free agency, that could get interesting.

I sorta think the WR group is down, but my favorite in round 2 or so is that WR from Stanford.  A dark horse.

I am all about this. Weak DE/Edge draft.

Pair Mason Graham with Derrick Brown. Need a CB2, and we are cooking with peanut oil.

Some of the young edge pieces we have are playing well since getting healthy.

I wouldn't hate a WR, but I think the next step for this team is improving on Defense.

    • Lol. The Texans are literally one of Bryce's six career NFL wins. WTF are you talking about?
    • Yeah, I mean it is a statistical fact and also part of literally a player evaluation. Winston has literally lost dozens of games in his NFL career due to crippling TO's. It's just who he is. Look, it's fun when those insane throws work and he is leading you back from some crazy deficit. But those success are rare. It's why his career GWD count is so low. He's fun but he is fundamentally built to lose games.  If you are talking about a backup QB, you are literally already losing in the first place. That's how you see a backup QB and that's overwhelmingly what they tend to do. Rookie QB's almost always benefit from veteran QB's. Same as literally any other position in the NFL. Why do you think that you so often hear that from the playera themselves? As for Bryce NEEDING one, no he sure as poo shouldn't this late in the game. But he also shouldn't have needed this fuging long to get his fuging footwork straightened out either. Yet here we are.
    • Comfortability is the primary reason. They don't want to hurt Bryce's confidence. But I say if his confidence is that fragile that healthy competition which makes everyone better is enough for them to keep making Andy Dalton rich then Bryce was never going to be the guy anyway. Give me the QB who sees the competition amongst his peers and uses it to take it to the next level. Instead we get the guy who comes out looking like a deer in the headlights against the Texans after we've done everything possible to appease him. Definition of complacency.
