If we get Hunter I'm gonna go streaking naked at the Panthers home opener next season.

You’ve been screaming for him and dam all of a sudden it’s looking like a real possibility but I’m not sure he’s that impactful on offense all I see are jump balks that’s not enough on the next level in the big league and we need instant impact players.

I’d be all for Hunter. If Pats go get Tmac for Drake Maye you go run to the podium. Just got to hope Prime doesn’t tell him to force himself out of here.

What if they grab the OT because they grab T Higgins in free agency what do you do then run up with who on the card?

I think DJ Moore did his rookie season.

It was either drops or fumbles or both with DJ. I remember that poo it was a problem... he turned out pretty good eventually

Then we had guys like Funchess who never quite turned the light on.

Gonna have to hope legette follows dj Moore's route.

I personally would mostly concentrate on fixing defense. If you want a WR real bad draft one R3 or after, or get one in free agency.

We desperately need a year where we aren't spending high round draft capital on wrs that haven't been panning out well lately. Fix the God damn defense.

The panthers always draft the same type of big ass project WRs anyway.  Draft another position please.

I want Hunter as a DB only.

Hunter/Horn DB tandem is Godly!

I’d be questioning what we are doing with Icky and Moton both on contract next year. If that’s how it plays out Johnson or Graham would make sense.

Ohhh I see where your going with that now. I like that thought if your DBs are able to lock their man up with minimal help you can overload to help stop the run. Turn us into a real no fly zone I can't relate

BPA, preferably on defense. If it’s an o lineman, ever better. Run stuffing DT? Yup.

The Panthers way is to see a cavern of fools gold instead of the fist sized chunk of platinum hiding in the back.

Where have I seen this before.. Start weak, finish strong, draft for need thinking they’re only a few pieces away. Now convinced of a deep playoff run only to be exposed (brought the fools gold up to the counter) when it doesn’t pan (pun intended) out… because what he thought he had, he actually didn’t. The next savvy miner laughs at distractions, finds said platinum and now has life altering riches off of what could have been his.

A top 5 pick is our chance to land a legit all pro. Can that happen with a needs based draft? yes. But we’re not there yet. We are close to competing, but sorely need depth. This is where good teams stay good and inversely the reason why this org can’t have winning seasons back to back. think about this. We now play most of our games on turf. Tampa is the only team in our division with real grass. Key injuries are going to occur. Plan accordingly. Fill need spots in free agency and draft BPA.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
