Lets calm down a bit here

Barely over 100 yards going into the final drive. Horrible INT that was a 10-14 point swing. Took us going for it on 4th down 5 separate times just to net 16 points. Good lord the bar for this dude is SO damn low lmao

Thielen and Hubbard were balling out of their mind, defense played surprisingly well (or maybe it's just that Hurts is really THAT bad). Only reason this was even a game.

BY made some good plays here and there, but still wildly inconsistent. At least he doesn't look Jimmy Clausen levels bad anymore, but still a far cry from a true franchise QB.

I will further my tail tuck in saying that no team in contention for a playoff spot wants to play this team right now, SPECIFICALLY because of BY. This team made the EAGLES sweat hard in the last 2 minutes with no timeouts. The Eagles. Can y’all imagine this team with Tee Higgins, D. Brown and a primo pass rusher?

I’ll rewatch this game, at least once.

This guy has no choice but to double down on being anti-Bryce. He’s spent the past 18 months doing as much.

Also in his defense, all of last year and the first two games this year, Bryce was pure ass. Can’t blame some people for being very hesitant

Looks at Hurts passing stats. You’re not considering the context of who he has to work with and his 3rd and 4th down conversions. Sustained drives are a measure of success not air yards.

Some juxtaposed nuance,

Against Number 1 defense in the League

Hurts has a great line, great WRs, an all world RB plus that defense

If Legette didn’t have hands of stone on that beautiful pass, the biggest upset of the NFL would’ve happened

Imagine if he had a true #1 WR.

Bryce is no longer the problem. If anything it's his weapons around him. Thielen can't be your only threat as a pass catcher.

Sanders and XL both look like busts so far.

Theilen definitely needs to hang around.

Unfair to call Sanders and XL busts. They’re rooks man. We’re asking a lot of them right now. For rookies they’re doing pretty well.

Watch the tape.  Stop crying about stats.  Watch any of the tape over the past few weeks.  His numbers are fine, the tape is great for the most part.  It's ok to say you didn't like him.  After week 2 I wanted to cut him and never wanted Darnold to go out.  Since the benching, if you watch the tape he's doing the absolute most with what he's got.  Give him an actual #1 wr and his numbers would be great too.

    • Things like this happen everyday. We live in a social media driven society where loyalty is a foreign concept.
    • If you draft a guy who is healthy and has no concerns about that whatsoever and he goes out and tears his ACL in his first few games in the regular season on a physical play that's a freak accident. But when you trade up to draft an RB who is already rehabbing from a recent ACL tear and he spends the next several months continuing his rehab only to tear the same ACL again after less than a handful of regular season carries in a non contact circumstance that is no freak accident. That is a textbook example of why you do not do what we did. Particularly for what is now a plug and play position. And when you have the highest paid OL in the league over the next two years. None of that makes any logical sense. Legitimately it is and was some Scott Fitterer type foolishness. Now as for XL. The guy has not been committed to his craft. I think anyone with eyes on the situation can and would recognize that. However the warning signs were there. One season of legit production raw prospect that we knew would take time to develop etc. But Morgan and Bryce Young's own father were very high on him. I think in some capacity the reality of our limitation at QB is entering into the equation. Even TMac got a lot of flak over the course of his rookie season for not being able to haul in all of Bryce's passes. At the end of the day our fourth year QB also needs to do his part to maximize the talent we have available. As far as this year. Again. WR round 1 boils down to where are we going to get the touches for the rookie? That would require eating into not only our 8th overall picks touches but also our #2 WR whom oh yeah by the way was UNDRAFTED. I am happy to discuss WR prospects here. I was thrilled we invested what we did last year in TMac because it needed to be done and it made sense from all angles. But nowhere is it written in stone that you cannot draft a good or great WR outside of the first round. Except in the Panthers building apparently. That is not a good reflection on our scouts and front office let me tell ya. Because there's no way on this earth we are going to get back to relevancy and legitimate contender status if we can't pick some gems in the later rounds. Simple and plain.
