I hated the drafting of him. That ended when he became a panther.

Im a rare honest person. He played awful about the worst starting Qb over 18 games. He was not seeing the field, tiny frame, and weak(at the time)arm. I thought he would never play like he has the last 6 games.

Major props to him. He outplayed hurts whom is getting like 50+million per, went throw for throw against MVP & Superbowl MVP mahomes. Numerous late 4th quarter drives to either tie or win the game were spoiled by defense/kicker/ST/other.

BTW he's doing this with his #1 WR a 89 years old AT, who was out half those games.

I dare say, the guy is playing the meme "point guard" that we all laugh about.

Him turning it around will be a huge benefit to this franchise whether he ends up being the guy or not.

Had he not turned it around, we would have inevitably spent our 1st round pick on a QB and I'm not in love with ANY QB in this draft.

So he gives us another year. We get more weapons, we get healthy players back, we solidify the defense and if he's a true franchise guy we will see it next year and if he's not we draft his replacement in 2025.

Let’s not forget about Canales. I said he sucked at qb whispering but dude has proved me wrong.

Canales is the real deal. He still really hasn't gotten his props for the benching of Bryce and how handled the situation which turned out for the better. You got people in the local media right now like Sheena Quick doing a 180 on him when she was the main one leading the crusade against him for not answering questions on bryce while he was benched.

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
