Actually we had  ( in  Wilmington  anyway ) blacked out in 2010 ,, We sucked then,,  worse than  this year,,  I'm just surprised that the owners have less power and can't over ride Fox  blackouts when 200 plus miles away  ( Wilmington area ) .   

We were allowed to stream games  when Directv and Fox were feuding back in 2017  and could stream them on laptops and hook our laptops up to the TVs to watch.  Not this time

I've watched for thirty years.  I don't recall a time a Sunday afternoon game wasn't broadcast in the Raleigh market.

The NFL isn't very fan friendly.  You should be able to purchase NFL ticket or individual game streaming.

Games on netflix, NFL Network, Amazon---all NFL will be pay per view of some sort soon.  Greed is the American way.

This has happened several years in Wilmington.  Once we are out of the playoffs, they start skipping our games at the end of the year.

Goddell is on record of saying that fans in the local markets will always get the games for free over broadcast stations, even if the games are on a streaming service for everyone else
