Bryce Young May Be The Answer

Since the benching, he's been playing pretty damn well. That Cowboys games scared me into thinking he may have reverted to his earlier self from his first 18 games of his career, but wow does he look much better. 

17/26, 158 passing yards,  65% completions, 2 passing TDs, 0 INTs . 5 rushes 68 rushing yards, 13.6 yards per carry, 1 rushing TD.  HELL of a day. most important stat. NO TURNOVERS vs 3 total TDs he accounted for.

And this is coming from a Bryce Young hater. He hasn't converted me yet to believing he's the long term answer, but he's made huge strides in making me eat crow. 

I saw some pin-point throws today and over the last few games that have been really encouraging. I saw him complete a pass while taking a gargantuan hit and get up and smile. I saw him running around like he was Kyler Murray today lol. 

If this dude can get us out of the mud next year and lead us to a winning season or playoff berth. I'll officially be a Bryce Believer. Until then, lets just say im cautiously optimistic.

that might be the best perspective to have, I guess. Next season's going to be extremely important for him and the Panthers. 

I'm encouraged the offense is showing us something this season even with inferior talent maybe minus Chubba Hubbard and Robert Hunt. We played up to contending with the Chiefs, Bucs, and Eagles with a gargantuan talent disparity and a defense that cant stop the run to save their lives.

Fixing the defense would totally change how this team looks

I’m not sold, but we’ll see. Another year like this year, or a record like this year, and you have to move on. Next years draft appears to be loaded with QBs. If we finish how I think we will, we won’t even need to move up to grab one. 

I do believe he’s got a place in this league, though. He’s a backup.

      I'm more impressed with the UDFA that the guys they have drafted in the first the last 2 years. A whole lot of prove it is still needed before any improvement should be talked about seriously.

      While I don't believe its a must win, (we have been better on the road this post season) it is definitely A NEED TO WIN the longer this series goes the more pronounced the Canes advantage on rest and health will be! If we hold serve at home in games 1 and 2 guaranteeing a 6 game minimum series for them if we lose the road games..... by the game 4 and 5 I expect them to be beat they have played A LOT OF HOCKEY the last three years, they have MINIMAL rest off a more physical than one might have expected series vs the leafs.... you know Tampa took their pound of flesh in round 1 from them. Combine all that with the fact that even though this year's canes squad isn't as talented as last years this IS a better squad than the one they swept last time that had McKenzie Mckeathern on line 1 Turbo with a broken hand a banged uo and eventually concussed Slavin (and even though it was a sweep 6 OTS and 4 1 goal losses is hardly dominant)  This year Bob hasn't been superman (hes probably gonna still have a great save percentage agiast us just a side effect of our style) Thatchuk is maybe 50% (3 game winners agiast us) their defense no longer has Gudas and several other downgrades.  While the Canes have a healthy and performing Svechnikov along with other big guys to counteract florida like Carrier, Jankowski, Robinson.   I by know means think it will happen but I either see this as a low scoring dog fight or a series were the canes surprise and end up dominating.
