That was not a back shoulder throw. XL was behind the coverage. You throw back shoulder when the DB is over the top or running step for step. I shouldn't have to explain this to someone who has been watching football dating back to the Delhomme/Smitty days.

If Bryce gets it down field far enough, like he was supposed to, then Legette makes the catch...maybe.

That wasn't back shoulder it was a jump ball...

Do you really need a link to videos of Smitty making a living on jump balls...

One of the things that makes discussing this iteration of the panthers offense so difficult is that so many people do not know what basic routes and throws are

If you want to be an effing #1 WR in this league you got to help your QB on plays like this.

The fact that is debated in here astounds me

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
