I love Walker.  Reminds of Parsons as well.  Started at LB used as a rusher off the edge.

He’s mean and a Dog.  Someone  really think Morgan will fall in love with.

Also scheme versatile too.  Can play edge in a 3-4  but if we move to a 4-3, can play SLB

Evero would probably use him a lot like he did Luvu

Jalon Walker is more Micah Parsons than Abdul Carter is

The more time goes along, the more I realize how little I know.

That said, I wanted Parsons and was vilified for it. The number one complaint was "he is lazy".

Ridiculous. Jaycee is good and all, but you could have had Parson's and had corners with 75% the ability of Jaycee playing just as well. There is no reason to ever draft a corner in the Top 10, in my opinion.

Chuck was alllll over Parsons. I thought he would be meh MLB and had Jamin "On my third team" Davis above him........maybe my biggest draft fumble ever. I did not foresee Parsons becoming a TJ watt level problem as a edge. I know he's didn't have a big year like the past, but he can only play the Panthers once during the season....

As I'm finally turning to prospects and digging in beyond the guys I liked during the year, Walker is an early fave for me at 8.

Projections change a lot, I imagine a team will reach, prospects in the 5-20ish range will shift like always.  But Walker is a guy who I see sticking towards the top of this one.

I wouldn't mind a double Walker 1-2 with Jalon ED/OLB & Deone IDL.  That would solve some issues pretty quickly IMO.

This was definitely my pick in my make believe mock draft with trades

If we move back from 8 to 14, we better be getting a 1st next year out of the deal

Which I can't see someone giving up in this draft unless someone very unexpectedly falls to us, and if they would, we probably should just be taking whatever player is sitting there and worth it to make that offer as it probably would be one of T-Mac, Johnson, or Graham.

Any of whom if they fall to 8 we should be jumping all over as I think they all are Top 7 picks for sure, just a matter of order based on team needs.

    • So Willis had a good game against a poor defense and all of a sudden he is worth 50 million and is guaranteed to be better than Young. LOL I know he looked good in the 3 games he started, and I think he will have success long term, but anyone signing him up for a long term contract for 50 million is taking a huge risk.
    • Is he really though? Rivera was past his prime and probably shouldn't have even started 2019 so his firing wasn't really unexpected or unwarranted. Rhule lasted two and a half years which was about one year too long in my opinion. Bringing him back that third year certainly wasn't impulsive and I would say Tepper was more patient than he should have been. Wilks finished out that third season and did pretty good but most everyone could see he really wasn't anything more than an intern HC. Bringing him back was not the long term answer so not bringing him back was the correct call. Hiring Reich was a mistake from the beginning and he recognized that fairly quickly. I am sure he knew he was going to catch a lot of sh*t for firing him so quickly ( and boy did he ) but it was absolutely the right thing to do given everything that was going on. The firing may have looked impulsive, but I think it was him recognizing he had royally f*ck up and just dealt with it instead of letting it fester.  That brings us to Canales. 2025 was only his second season and yet he delivered 8 wins and the NFC South title. And while that might not sound great, given the lack of talent and cap space they started with, it's a strong step in the right direction. I couldn't imagine Tepper not being pleased with their progress given the crap the Panthers' have been though under his ownership.
