This man looks like somebody's uncle at the cookout six beers deep talking about how he's gonna show these kids how he did it back in the day. LOL

This dude looks washed as fug.

He looks more like a fullback than a WR.

Deebo is maybe one of the most overrated players in a long time thanks to one bonkers fantasy season that was very much an anomaly.

He has had over 892 yards receiving only one time in his 6 year career and has only 2 seasons with over 3 TD Receptions (with 7 and 6).

Yes, I know his versatility and ability to take handoffs and reverses adds to what he brings, but even then, he's only had one season with more than 232 yards, and that wasn't really anything super crazy with only 365.

Him getting 8 Rushing TDs in the season she also had 1,400 yards and 6 TDs rushing gave him an absurd fantasy season and I think most fans struggle to separate one crazy fantasy season output (4 years ago) for being a great player in general.

If you're considering trading for a WR who you will then have to pay a boatload to you call up the Jets for Garrett Wilson. Deebo is not worth top money plus top compensation.

I ain't paying Garrett Wilson top money either. He'd get a step below top money at this point.

Deebo shouldn't be in any conversation based on contract alone.

I just don't know that having another receiver will bring the desired result, as much as it will muddy the picture as to who's starting. Bryce likes to spread the ball around, which is a good thing in my opinion, but there's only one ball. I mean, I certainly wouldn't cry about another receiver on a value deal, but I don't see it as a priority.

4yr 130 mil 90 guaranteed for Wilson

This is from 5 months ago. It was one or the other. Trade for one or draft one. We apparently called the Jets about Wilson. We also talked to the Seahawks about Metcalf. Drafting our own guy was the best course of action given the required investment. Regardless now is the time for Bryce Young to produce. We are fourth amongst all teams in cap spending on the OL. Back to back first round picks at WR and multiple young TE draft picks now. Very solid and respectable backfield. New pieces across the defense. The time is now.

Yep, homegrown is generally the way to go, especially in terms of the cap. I'm hoping---just hoping---that this will be our best receiving corps in a long time. We've certainly invested the draft capital.
