Tee Higgins Smoke...

No, I'm pointing out the myriad of reasons that I don't think it's even debatable.

Higgins is 1 year younger, that's the only thing I'm giving him an advantage over DK in, if that's all he has on his side of the ledger, then I don't see where there is a debate.

More TDs last year in less games (double the TDs) and more yards per game. Those are some tough stats to brush aside. Career stats are good but we are wanting the player for what they are currently. DK had some drop issues too.

I get the TD's and I pointed it out, but like I said, when Burrow had more than double the TD's than Geno had, I think Higgins increased TDs compared to DK was more a product of Burrow and the Bengals offense than because of him vs DK as WRs.

When one of their QB's finished 4th in MVP voting despite missing the playoffs and the other was just traded for a late 3rd round pick and replaced by Sam Darnold, I think that's a tough narrative to brush aside to just look at raw stats as well.

Again, swap DK and Higgins last year, do you honestly believe DK wouldn't have put up better stats than Higgins did?

Contracts and trade compensation aside, I'm taking DK over Higgins 100 out of 100 times, there is no debate about it for me.

The issue with Higgins is that the Bengals have said it will be expensive to acquire him and he will want a top 5 contract which is approaching 25 million a year. I don't see it happening. Bryce showed he can do well with subs and JAGs. So I would spend the money on defense and not go hogtied on a top receiver.

Higgins or Higgins?

I’d rather draft Jayden Higgins in the 2nd, if he’s still there, than trade for Tee.

They are nearly identical in height, weight, wingspan, and hand size. Comparing Jayden’s combine to Tee’s pro day, Jayden seems to be the faster and more explosive athlete. He’s also known as a savvy route runner.

Plus, we wouldn’t have to pay him near $30mil per year for a while.

The proven commodity has missed 10 games in the past two season, will require premium draft assets in a trade, and then you get to give him an elite WR contract when he's three years removed from a 1000 yard season.

Yeah, give me the "nobody".

Honestly…heads up I’m taking Jayden. Don’t want a Tee contract. But there’s risk Jayden isn’t there. If you don’t take a first round edge, do you value Jayden Higgins over the Ohio State edge boys? What about Elijah Arroyo? Do we want the big play TE? Plus there is Schwesinger who won’t make it out of round 2 at ILB, maybe Stutsman or Knight Jr lasts until our pick in R3? A lot more variables than this guy vs that guy because it isn’t a sure fire availability.

We need to stop taking WRs in the 2nd round, think we'd have a much better chance on hitting on a defensive player or maybe a Center in the 2nd.

If we're drafting WRs, it should be a high 1st rounder or wait until the 4th to take flyers on the smaller quick twitch types and hope that pans out.  Just far too many 2nd round WRs that don't pan out these days, especially when we're drafting them.

We have enough of these wide receivers who have good 40 times but cannot create separation.

If we draft a WR, Isaiah Bond would be my choice. Deep speed, very agile and can create separation. Reminds me of DJ Moore but faster game speed.

All Texas fans say Golden was the far superior player to Bond. I didn’t watch them play a ton, but I’ll take their word for it.

Why do you think Jayden Higgins doesn’t get separation?

I’m not a college football guy. I’m just going by what the scouting reports I’ve read. Most say he will have some trouble creating separation against top CB’s.

This organization cannot draft WR besides the consensus type of guys. Im with you no idea how ppl on this board can be burned 3 times already with TMJ, Mingo, and now maybe XL then say yeah let’s do that again. TMac or go get a proven NFL guy

    • Brother re-check that guarantee...my page shows 30mill.....thats means he's staying in my book for at least til the end of 2026.  Im going to be my normal honest self, besides watching like half of the SB, I didn't know the guy. My guess is Panthers have a "planned model of paying players" and they almost had to spend a chunk of space on a DLman after Dbrown injury season gave them a nightmare out-come of worst D in NFL scoring. Once Milton got above Dbrown payments, they went with the plan B. A player whom the "co-GM" put his name with. Brad said turk would not be a problem off-field and leader, which the Panthers need badly. I dug in with the google-fu, I found out  I also found him playing lots of NT, which was shocking given the small frame. He seems ready for a bigger role and had a great SB too. IDK, I feel Dan Morgan was dead set on not going into this season without more DL depth and its there. The real deal is this, nearly all FA take one year to "adjust". I think turk is trying too hard and causing injuries as a result for his contract. Dbrown called turk "strong as hell" and I know for a fact Dbrowns has insane core and strength numbers. They lift together with the 50 LB difference...... you always lift with a guy who's similar in strength cause you can leave on the 8 wheels, let the other guy lift while you rest and go after him.  I do wish he had a better beginning to his panther career, 3 games for him to do so and it would cover up the low points if he made a few plays.... Again it felt like they almost had to make move/spend $$$ and Morgan was going to have DL depth this season no matter what...My best guess.
    • There's a reason DC wasn't getting calls to be a HC. He wasn't ready. His indecisiveness is infuriating. His lack of awareness is mystifying. He jumped at the chance to grab the David Tepper retirement plan and who can really blame him. Maybe with time he can grow into the job. But we're on year 8 of our 7 year rebuild. I think I'm gonna need a hip replacement before we get a decent HC.
