What could we get in a trade of Moton? He has a little age on him, and is starting to get a little nicked up... And we can draft Membou. We get younger at a position of need and gather a few picks in the trade? We are building for the future, and this guy Membou would be a good addition up front.

I would prioritize protecting Bryce and giving him stability. I’m in favor of drafting a tackle early but doubt a rookie will be much better this year than Moton and I don’t think the picks we’d get in return would be worth it. I say keep moton and keep an eye on BPA. If we see really good value at ot in rounds 2 or 3, grab them, but I wouldn’t trade Moton.

So are we going to the playoffs this year? The answer is NO! We are in a rebuild, and right now we can get something for Moton. I guess we can just go 6-11 and do this again next year? So what do you guys suggest? Sign him to a new contract at the end of the year or let him walk after the season? Both of those options are terrible. Signing him to a new contract is crazy, and letting him walk for nothing is craZier!

What can we get for him?   A 6th?

You don't get rid of a player you know plays well and is a locker room leader, unless your hand is forced, on the hope that his replacement works out. You can still draft Membou and let him learn a year and get up to speed so he can hit the ground running, but you don't take a cornerstone linemen and off load him when he still plays well and isn't causing your team fits with their cap hit. 

 

The whole "How many games will we win this season?" question is also based in fantasy. You have to build a culture and keep improving. You don't throw in the towel at the start of the season and jettison good players for the future when we are not even close to a point where we have to blow the roster up and start over. They set the foundation last year, you let them build on it.

      Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?

      Didn’t get around to watching this one but looks like Pistons played their starters and actually tried…? Unlucky that they sit vs Magic, etc and try vs us. Hopefully we can beat the Heat and then Magic or 6ers with no Embiid. BUT if not, the NBA really should give us the lottery win this year like they did Mavs last year. Another high pick could be our final missing piece and have us as legit top contenders next year and going forward if we’re healthy. Or trade it for a Giannis type
