Does this make everyone feel better about Morgan?

a lot of chatter this week about how the panthers telegraph everything and have more leaks than a faucet. Not sure many of us saw this coming even with the late report tet was a wild card for us.

No.  I think he should be 100% gone next year.

It's an improvement from everyone and their momma knowing who we were going to pick. Now need to see how he navigates the rest of the draft.

Could still be true and they were as surprised as the rest of us. Doesn't really matter though as long as it works out.

I like that Canales and Morgan seem to be on the same page.  Probably the most in sync GM/HC combo we've had. I actually believe him when they say "our guy."  I felt like Fitterer took orders or signed a former player of his most of the time, Gettleman had his own kingdom, and Hurney was somewhere in between. These two seem to have a shared vision of what this team can be and I haven't seen that out of the front office in a long time, if ever.

The fact him and Bryce have been together,  makes me really at ease with this pick. Already formed a connection. Our offense didn't get worse by adding him  at all.  Still a ton of edge rushers left, we are in a good spot. Also, I hope we can get the Notre Dame qb for a project. He has all the tools to be the best qb in this draft.

With how pinpoint Bryce can be on anticipation throws and TMac being an absolute nightmare on a back shoulder. YIKES. If those 2 can get the timing down it’s gonna be unstoppable.

Yes. I don't think he's done a good job so far but I'm rooting for him

Same crap different year. They have been trying to draft Evans since DC got here and they keep missing. Another RAS guy with a big old zero as a red flag.

I'm fully expecting another bad draft this weekend. They do have a plan which would be great if it wasn't so bad. Tet and Warren were my flags they weren't going to make it. Lots of guys I didn't like but at least saw positives. It sub-meh.

On the flip side it's nice this one can actually catch but in the top 10 that should be a minimum for a WR.

I'd feel a lot better about the Dave/Canales vision......if the Panther hadn't dumped so much into Bryce Young right before Canales walked in the door.   I think it's clear what Canales wants.  I still think it's at odds with what the Panthers wanted to do when they drafted Bryce.

AT THE VERY LEAST, dude will be a very solid NFL talent. This is not a flier. This is not a whiff. This is a ‘good’ and safe pick. Hopefully this move will make our opponents play from behind more frequently. This is the first solid first round pick since when?

The division will go through ATL next season. If the Panthers don’t have the dudes to go point for point with them, they’ll be praying for a wild card. That’s a tough go in the NFC. If Pennix comes on, it’s going to be very difficult to keep that team under 30 pts.

"Keep missing" bro Dave Cannales has been here for one season..... eeesh talk about bad takes.

You have no idea how either Leggette or Mc will turn out.

    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
    • I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
