I would have loved to pick up ILB Shaun Dolac. A bit undersized, but is a ball hound.  I mean, we drafted a 5'8" WR.

This has to be Thielen's last season.  Somebody has to fill that void.  The pups have one season to get up to speed.

I still think we should have drafted a corner.  Still pretty thin there. Unless an UDFA makes the roster, we might have to sign a veteran off the street.

I was a bit surprised too.  Smith-Wade at nickel is probably not the answer, but he would be good depth.  At the end of the season, they played Bartholomew and Evans, and both were decent. That is their depth.  Looks like they brought in Mike Reid from SDSU and Corey Thornton from Louisville--giving him a big bonus to sign.  Do they have a S they plan to play nickel?

About the draft:

I liked the value for Ransom.  I think he is going to be a starter day 1.

I liked the addition of a big, tall, in-line TE with good hands and decent speed.  Red Zone.

I like the fact that they addressed WR, but I am not sure I would have taken Tet and I know I would not have taken Horn.  With the current roster, I would have taken a WR early and then added an UDFA later.

I would not have drafted a RB in any round.  We have 2 good ones and can find a third holding a cardboard sign on the street corner.  We are 3 deep at RB and have zero depth at CB behind our injury-prone $100m man.

With our current roster, I am not sure that I would have double dipped at Edge, unless they knew Clowney and maybe Johnson were gone.  Jones is meh and Wonnum is an 8-sack guy when healthy.  Scourton (and I was like "WTF?" has the ability to be a 10-sack guy.  Princely will be a designated pass rusher, I suppose.  Cam Jackson is a guy I just knew they would draft late; a good backup for Brown.

Princely and Cam seemed like they were two guys that the team had zeroed in on early in the process, especially Cam Jackson. He was one of the first prospects I had heard the team was looking into.

My post has nothing to do with Moore playing, it’s just about having more then 1 WR on the team that has more than 1 season of experience.

I’m sure Thielen is a great mentor, but it would be hard to mentor 5-6 other WRs all season by himself.

I think once you get down to the 3rd stringer for basically any team it's already a lost cause. I would like to see us draft someone eventually but there is really no sense in that with about 35-40 other positions that need to be fixed first.

I get and agree that you need some vets, but the coaches have to play a major role too. Thielen is a consummate professional.  I do think moore makes the team and I think the udfa wr makes the practice squad so that leaves us with nalo, thielen, x, Coker, Moore and horn

I definitely don't mind the edge rusher double dip. I still see free safety as a massive hole but it's been massive hole for the Panthers forever outside of the brief Deon Grant period. We've just never valued safeties who are primarily deep third over the top guys. I wish we did but we don't so I'll just hope that it works out. We've certainly fielded elite defenses without one so we know it can be done.
