Damn... wouldn't have minded having Clowney as part of the rotation for the young guys to pick up being a pro from.

They must be really excited about Nic and Princely.

When he signed his two year deal here, reporters asked him why he signed for 2 years here.  He said every deal is a 1 year deal

Our OLB position is a lot of unproven right now this teams needs some sort of veteran presence.

I thought he looked really slow out there for us.  I haven't followed him closely throughout his career, but he seemed pretty washed to me.  I know his PFF grades and stuff indicate he was effective.

On the other hand we've invested a very significant amount of resources in our new youth movement and we need to get them development. And at the end of the day despite Clowney being a local story as much as he is liked around these parts the reality is as an NFL talent he has bounced around the league a lot and there is a reason for that. Why does this team hate Jordan Matthews so much after keeping Ian Thomas around for way too long?

I understand the reasoning behind the move but I'm still a bit surprised they didn't wait to see what we actually had before they jettisoned him.

As much hate as he got (mostly deserved), Ian Thomas was/is an above average blocker which is why is still in the league.

I like Jordan Matthews but I think he is just too much of a tweeter to be good at WR or TE.

That being said, he was a great veteran presence on the team. And I could definitely see him being brought back (yet again) if we need another TE.

I just want us to get better across the board. If the coaches think these are the right moves, I'm good with it.
