Yeah, this isn't for 'fans'.  I worked with a rep from Coca Cola who's job was to wine and dine customers, taking them on trips fishing trips in Alaska and the Carribbean or pretty much any sporting event they dreamed of attending, no questions asked.  $180K is nothing to Corporate America when it comes to keeping their clients happy.

Exactly. Target audience could be small biz sales team reward trip vs trying to figure out how to send them for a week to Hawaii

I'm going to guess that the Riot crew received Very Specific Inquiries about whether they could help arrange something like this in the past, indicating there's enough interest to make it happen officially. And maybe (maybe, maybe) they've already done some one-offs to prove it can work?

Looking forward to seeing their continued success

I saw this thread title and cringed before clicking it, but it was nowhere near as brutal as I was expecting. Nice.

I see you V @Gapanthersfan .What's up man? I didn't know you subjected yourself to the madness in this place.

Now I just need to figure out who @Newbie is and we can plan a Boro reunion at Old Town.

But yeah man, keep doing your thing. I’m Watching your success from the sidelines.

This isn’t a bad deal for the right people. Sure not everyone has that kind of money to burn. But $10k for everything including all travel (that includes a private flight), lodging, meals, tix to the game? Meeting former players?

It’s a lot of logistics that if done solo would take a lot of time to coordinate. When I was younger I spent my time to save money, and now I spend my money to save time.

I sacrifice greatly, even to this day, and should have that kind of money by the third quarter of 2026. I saved money to free up my time, and by next year, I won't be spending money to save time, I should have all the time in the world to figure out how to spend (and invest) even more money.

Not tryna preach, but I have been taught to make Proverbs 13:22 a guiding princple. God has blessed me to be in the company of some influential people. As a result, I'm on my way to legitimate generational wealth.

Good for you. I have been set back by 3 divorces so I kinda deserve what I have left. Spent every dime I've earned on raising my 2 son's by myself and helping out my mother financially.  I'm not complaining.

But if I did have the cash I probably would try this just for the experience. I would not be a regular unless I win the lottery.  But it's hard to win when you don't play.

    • I don't think it was fear of the unknown because he tried to hide the extent of the injuries that made him drop. After the drop, the reports I heard were that teams knew what was wrong with his knee and it was something similar to another athlete from a few years ago (honestly don't remember if it was even a football player).  That it was basically one of those things where he should be fine for a while, there isn't a huge concern of immediate injury risk.   But what he has going on with his knee is something that is degenerative and there's little chance he'll be able to play more than 5 or so years on it before he won't be able to play anymore. So basically it was teams knowing if they draft him, he's probably going to be only a rookie contract player and even if he's great, you might not be able to get use out of him on a second contract.  Which in turn makes the drop make sense, but I'm kinda surprised some contending team didn't take him late in the 1st, hoping he'd put them over the top on a SB run but then not even have to worry about giving him a big contract in 4 years too.
    • Depends if they see the writing on the wall with their roster and contracts and decide to bite the bullet and begin a complete rebuild and roster overhaul.  I have no clue why some franchises (IE us) refuse to do this and keep half assing trying to win 8 games or so.  Do it correctly, take your lumps and build a contender.  We shall see what loomis decides.
    • Each team plays 17 games.  I do not see why they don't just have each team play one international game per year.  Neutral site game, 8 home, 8 away.
