Potential changes to playoff seeding

in 2014 we won the division with a losing record.  Haven't checked but with the new rule we could have been left out

Yeah I was in ATL for that final game to win the division.  That was my question if winning the division gets you in and then they seed based off of record or if record will determine everything?

Conversely, a good team should have no problem going on the road to defeat an inferior opponent.

While we're at it, let's just get rid of the conferences and seed them top to bottom according record

Don't see how it matters other than taking care of the precious at the top. If you're a better team, then you'll win at home or away. Really not that big a deal unless you're traveling across country. Then again, most playoff games are later in the day, so that doesn't matter either.

Feels a bit like a change that’s not based as much in fairness and good of the game and more to pacify owners in strong divisions.
