The irony, Richardson was the most physically gifted specimen in the draft and scouts thought he could take NFL hits, now he is an injury prone QB. Bryce Young was the smallest QB and there were concerns how long he would last in the NFL. Now Bryce has been more durable than Richardson.

Even at his worst - the one thing Bryce did a great job of was avoiding big hits. When he scrambles, he's very smart about getting out of bounds/going down at the right time

Looking back on the 2023 QB class and the Panthers absolutely made the right choice jumping up to #1. Only Bryce and CJ have showed any promise.

Whether or not they chose the right one of the two, we'll have to "wait and see."

I think most people figured that would be the case. Colts got suckered into ARs athleticism when the dude is just an awful decision maker. Not surprised he is looking like the next JaMarcus Russell

There was a small number thinking we would take and should take Richardson at one

If Richardson can overcome the injuries, he'll still have to overcome being a bad NFL QB.

All the Florida fans I know thought he was terrible. When he went 4th, it was pretty shocking. When healthy he’s a solid fantasy QB, not an NFL one.

Some might point to his starting record as 8-7, but if you dig in a little bit it’s almost comical:

When Richardson has 12 or less passes (i.e. he got hurt in game): Colts 4-0 (2 of 4 wins were playoff teams)

When Richardson plays the game (19 to 38 passes): Colts 4-7 (0 of 4 wins were playoff teams)

I was looking back and seen Evan Neal has made the switch to OG after awful years at OT.......I wanted him over Icky for his tricep alone.....

I was 100% stroud too, I was super pissed about his record setting and playoff leading start......I had arich vastly over the midget BY too. But right now, BY is about the only one on the up&up. The Texans used lots of prime draft capital to help Stroud.

It's still not ready. But if you're honestly about past drafts, these GMs are not alone in making mistakes.

I still feel they should stayed put and allowed Carter to fall in their lap, but best I know Tepper had the worst rage about landing a QB for the past 5 years. The deal is with the correct coaching staff, Baker or darnold would still be here....Baker has signed 3 years for 100 million, which is a great NFL QB contract. Tepper hiring rhule and his shitty Baylor/temple staff was a massive setback given rhule was in control too. Then panic set in an d fitteerererererer had to make a winner and find a QB. Ugh.....I hope they are back...

I'd tend to be on the side of not tempting fate on this subject and be perceived as possibly dunking on others for being injured considering we had a physical specimen at QB whose body broke down and ended his career early. Then there's also the Christian McCaffrey saga that is continuing in San Francisco now. In this sport anything can happen to anyone sometimes it just boils down to plain luck.
