Gotta feeling there will be quite a few folding lawn chairs. My kool aid is still in the packet too.

an overtime loss to the Jags and people will run for the doors and call for the season to be canceled

that features a Bryce Young 60%, 207 yard, 1 TD pass performance (which was post benching Bryce minus his worst game and best game).

"Ok let's hear the mental gymnastics of how Bryce Young actually had a good game."

yep, this season is already cooked and done.

if there is hype or excitement.....it only ends one way.

if no one cares or is talking.....then there is a chance.

It's a proven and unquestionable formula of Panther truth.

I know they've hurt you over the years, hell, they've hurt us all. We've got the scars to prove that we've survived the lean years, the horrible years, the near misses and the what-the-fug seasons.

I hope we have a good year, a solid year, one that can give ya some joy. You deserve it for sticking with them through thick and thin.

We all deserve it.

my bar is what it is......

can they be entertaining.  They generally provide that.   Good or bad.  Entertainment can exist.

really only the Clausen/Fox's lameduck season, Matt Rhule's lameduck 3rd season, and Frank's season have they failed to provide that for me.

The talking heads liking is all of a sudden is more concerning than comforting. Long time Panthers fans know that this team has historically underperformed when getting hyped.

statements like this are why roulette wheels show the history of the last 10-20 spins.

Bryce's play after coming back from his benching gives me a glimmer of hope but it's wild that a lot of Panthers fans are acting like he has arrived as a franchise QB because he put up some mediocre stats and basically simply just finally didn't look like a guy who flat out did not belong on an NFL field.

I'm anxious to see what he looks like this year and I'm hoping for continued growth but I still haven't seen anything that leads me to believe that he's capable of being a high level starter. Hoping he proves me wrong but honestly the worst case scenario would be that he comes out this year and plays like he did late last year. That's purgatory QB level. The type of guy who organizations get led to believe might be "good enough" but you're not competing for SBs with that level of QB play. I want Bryce to boom or bust this year. Go out there and prove me wrong and look like THAT DUDE or just revert back to looking like he doesn't belong. Don't leave me in purgatory. Let's get an answer to this question one way or the other.

    • Basically agree.  He is the one of that bunch that offers upgraded pass catching along with he is supposed to be kind of special.   Then you have the OL and the ideas that if they perform you can have JAG backs and still do well. So okay we could be fine.  But Brooks is important and to me that receiving element sets him apart.  So there sure is something riding on him.     What strikes me as incongruent is people over in Atlanta or those that follow them look at Penix with a third surgery and act like it is no big deal.      And we are on pins and needles over Brooks.  Either they should worry a lot more or we should worry a lot less.
    • I usually go a game or two optimist over the consensus here but this is too early for me to say. I need to see some players on the field.  I am not feeling real optimistic though.
    • Okay as a ‘take CJ’ fan I actually don’t obsess over CJ and Houston, contrary to the narrative.  But I thought I picked up some noise that his OL left a lot to be desired.    Not a single Beyce supporter would judge him harshly if he had a crappy OL. We all know that.    So be fair about it.  A QB needs to be protected.  Especially a guy that gets to his spot and wants to finish the play from there. Which CJ is.
