Archie has already said he won't be entering the draft next year. They want him playing four years of college ball like he did and like Eli and Peyton did and I mean, I can't argue against it. I'm definitely not going to argue with the Manning family about how to best prepare a young QB for the NFL. Their formula for themselves sure has worked so far.

They also aren't hurting for money, nor is he himself.

They have a cap debt to deal with.  Tanking won't be hard to mask in the name of getting their financial house in order.  They are 30th next year in cap room and a dumpster fire.  If they want to get that under control, FA is an afterthought.  Why do you think their QB room looks like it does now?  No desire to upgrade.

Oh, no doubt. They have a hole to climb out of long term, but losing for multiple years on end isn't likely to make any owner happy.

I guess they aren't going to take a backup center and a 3rd round pick then.

It’s comical that we are even in the running. Dan agreed with Fitterer’s decision not to trade Burns for two firsts (Rams took Verse with one of the 1sts) and a second. Then, we realized we could sign Burns and traded him for a 2nd and a couple day 3 picks. Now, since our pass rush is worse, we are going to give away a lot more than we got for Burns for a guy 6 years older and more expensive.

I guess we also wasted our 2nd and 3rd round picks?

Career 4-3 guy that turning 31 in Dec, wants fair market value for being the top sack guy for the last couple years............

I don't see the reasons.

Just listen to reports and they are legit, so throw out logic, money and cap.

Bungals need OL, BAD. IOL BAD

https://bengalswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bengals/2025/08/16/bengals-biggest-weakness-bad-worse-injuries/85690582007/

They could use a RB too.

Mays, Blacksheer, Zavala, Kingston, etc. Panthers could move one IOL, one DL/edge and freebee Blacksheer. Toss in Yoshi or Christ as well.

Be better if they needed WRs....but they are set there....

I get Panthers want sacks and pressures, just 31 year old with a heavy 42-30 salary per career 4-3 guy on a young team with LT and QB contracts incoming. Just don't see how they can make this work, unless bungals took a sad package of Mays, Zavala, Balcksheer, and Crumedy aka guys in the 45-55 range.

I think Panthers 2nd rounder should be off the table, given its a high % that's its low 30s.

Panthers can not pay Icky, Motown, BY, Hunt, Horn, Brown, and Hendrickson around 30mill each....bad mathz that 210 million, what 50 million for the remaining 46 players?????? It's doesn't work and that team is still not making the playoffs..... ugh

It's a great formula to become the worst team in the league!

Peak Panthering LOL

We seems very willing to trade away future 1sts. I think we just cockily assume they're going to be low 1sts meanwhile we end up giving away #1 overall. LOL

I’m surprised the Panthers have nearly the same odds as the Bengals. I don’t see any way the FO gives up a first round pick after losing the #1 overall pick just a year ago. There’s just no way. If any team gives up a first round pick, I imagine it would be one of the perennial playoff teams. Just too much value coming up in the next draft with a potentially high end QB class.
