It was mentioned earlier in this thread, and then again just below you. Adam is helping Bryce call out the defensive play, and helping with protections it seems. It becomes more obvious when he's out of the game and our offense looks like post chorizo soft baby poo.

How common is this with other teams or even younger qbs?

Well, I’m no BY defender…

but Cam Newton had a lot of help from vets too.  Kalil I think called his protections.  I think it’s also out there Olsen was pretty vocal in the huddle as well if Cam wasn’t on top of things

I recall something similar his rookie year as well, by year three he had things dialed in though. Especially in 15 I remember Rivera said he let him do his thing pre snap. On his rookie year the lockout didn’t do him any favors so him being a little behind makes sense.

Bryce getting help doesn’t bother me too much either, but if it happens a lot this year, there may be a problem because he’s supposed to be a super processor or whatever.

Cam is probably a top 10 all-time QB talent. Bryce Young lacks a single NFL measurable and was drafted because he's supposed to be a football savant. That's the key difference.

Cam was also a drafted to be a one man wrecking crew….and was that starting week 1 his rookie year.

BY was drafted to be high functioning mentalist  where we could get by with less on offense because he could function at such a high level.  Yet we have had to spend back to back first round picks on WRs and needs his vet WR to manage things at the snap….and he is the owner of the worst pass O in the NFL since arriving into the league

And that's the problem. Any time you have a WR that makes the QB instead of the QB making the WR, you do not not have a franchise QB...well, legit one anyway.

I disagree. Anytime you have a qb (especially a young one)in sync with a specific receiver, its a good thing. You just have to hope eventually, they get in sync with the others as well.
