I don't blame this on Canales. He doesn't have a QB that play at a high level in the in the NFL. He didn't pick Bryce. He inherited him. You give Canales a top 10 QB and we'd have a legitimate shot at the winning the NFC title.

I think this team often appears flat because they realize that they are overmatched at the QB position in almost every game they play. And, if  Bryce starts off poorly they realize  that literally have almost no chance to win.

NFC title? With Evero and this D??? Boy, you been huffin' glue.

Nah. This keeps happening.

Also, Canales has the ability to bench this bum QB. He did it before.

This is on Canales above anyone else.

I don't think Renfrow is ready to be an AT replacement yet. Not sure he ever will be.

Renfrow would have had monster day if Bryce Young could have put balls where they should be.

I do agree that Canales just has him Inserted into ATs role.  Which isn’t how Renfrow really plays

Come on, that was a fumble.  Perfect peanut punch.  Knee not down.  You might could call it a great defensive more than a bad Bryce play but a clear fumble.

and Bryce’s worst play of the day won’t actually be logged.  Thanks to Renfrow away from the play.  But that should in reality get a QB of his caliber benched for the next week (it won’t but a well run team is shelving a QB).

That was his SECOND worst play.

Worst play was that fourth down throw out of the end zone.

Morhrig just got MURDERED.  I am not exaggerating, that was the worst block I have seen since the eliminated the Hines Ward crack backs.

He's been invisible otherwise. Another Safety that evero has no idea how to use properly

If you give most NFL coaches a top 10 QB they’ll have a legitimate chance. Canales hasn’t been great nor has Bryce.

    • I would have normally agreed on the "far superior" but that run in the playoffs made me re-think that view. Bryce looked like he belonged on the field most of our game and CJ never did at almost any point. Either way, as I have said repeatedly, I no longer view the 2023 QB class with the "what should have been" and I view the 2024 class of which we rightfully earned our spot at #1 overall as the one that got away.  Now those are amazing first round QB's.
    • I would disagree and the trends in the NFL would also disagree. 6th and 7th round is a common area to throw a dart at QB's because it is a very low risk, very high reward position. Most of the type of guys you are talking about have extremely low hit rates and also are of substantially less value than finding a good 2nd string QB would be.
    • Makes me think. Some of these guys obviously know they are just being asked to interview to satisfy that requirement.     People say going through the process, even under those circumstances, is beneficial as a learning experience and preparation for a legit opportunity.  But after you have done a couple, you probably don’t want to do any more if you think it is just for the rule. So you turn them down.  Results in the Browns’s dilemma.    I think the rule should be amended to: teams have to request interviews, not necessarily have them. In the case of no one wanting to do one, you tried.    A certain number of requests go out, but none get accepted, that should do it for them. You can place requirements on how many requests you need to send out, who the requests go to… no quality control assistants or that type of thing. Legit coaches at a level where it makes sense.  Satisfy that and you are free to hire your coach.
