This. Who are we going to lose exactly? Is Xavier Legette going to throw a hissy fit and start actually catching more than rodents? Is Trevin Wallace going to stop trying to tackle? And if he did could we even tell?

You're not gonna turnover the entire locker room in the off-season. If you lose the trust of the whole team you're basically cooked. It's just a matter of if you get fired after this season or after another lost season.

Which is exactly why it's the organization's job to care about it.

Team culture means something. How’d all those premium high first round picks in the 2000 and 2010s work out for the Browns or Jags?

when have you ever seen a perennial contender play for draft position instead of to win? Even in bad years?

if you are the head coach of a football team and doing anything other than coaching to win, you should be in a different line of work. Regardless of record.

To be fair, I don't know that it'd make much of a difference with how awful our defense is who the QB is.

The defense has been a problem we all know this. Evero and the talent level have held us back no doubt.

But it is also worth questioning what effect the QB play or lack thereof is having on that side of the ball. And it is absolutely legitimate to consider that not only them being on the field more but watching the QB and the offense waste drive after drive has an effect on morale if the unit is already not ideal.

Pretty sure he will have to get approval from Tepper before benching BY again.
this basically would mean….officially they are done with him after paying so much in draft capital and DJ. And the Panther would have to admit they were wrong.
You know how many draft picks it took to finally replace DJ Moore?  TMJ, Mingo, XL….and TMAC.

I guarantee it makes a difference. Give up 2 scores and its basically over until garbage time. The offense can barely drive the length of the field in 3 quarters. The defense has been gutted to build around a QB that is possibly the biggest bust in NFL history. For what we've put into the offense the past 3 years, we should be dropping 30 bombs with regularity. The only 30s we get are FGs.

Id say week 11 or 12. If we have 2-3 wins max by that point you play hooker the last few games and then he'll play well enough to not draft a QB and then hooker will start next year and be totally ass then he'll be pulled week 11-12 and rinse and repeat. The Panthers will never be a respectable team again as long as tepper is the owner.

Converting 3rd downs and keeping the offense on the field makes a big difference, especially when the defense sucks.

The best D in the NFL last year gave up 17 points per game. Our O averaged 10 points per game (with good Bryce). If you cant score more than 10...you is gonna lose a lot.
