We won, but Bryce and Canalas still blow

It's really bad football to watch. At their best it's boring and hard to find any respect for that wasted time.

Are there any decent teams anymore in the NFL or is it just bad vs worse every game?

Offense is way down across the league

Bryce didn’t pass deep at all, was throwing behind receivers, couldn’t consistently get first downs, and was generally unproductive after the first drive.

That wasn’t dictated by the game score; that’s how the vast majority of his pro games have gone, even his “good” ones (I think most people have forgotten how the eagles game actually played out)

the fact that Penix was out there shitting on the field and rolling around in it and getting it on his clothes and feet and then walking into the house and touching all the walls isn’t relevant.

This is just who Bryce at his general best is: 100-150 yards, around 12-15 completions, maybe one completion downfield, maybe a touchdown, maybe a turnover, maxing out at about 22 points depending on how bad the other team is.

game flow had nothing to do with that.

Would you be okay with this being his ceiling. Middle of the pack QB who can do basically what needs to be done to win some games. Not a franchise QB nor a total bust. Average QB at best.

Should they ride this train (if this is indeed the case), and just keep building the rest of the team out. To many needs to keep neglecting other aspects of the team for one guy. Let's face it, he is what he is.

By the way.....great win Panthers and just what we all needed. Good job

No. That is the definition of mediocrity. It looks great next to 2-15, I will concede that.
He has to do better. He to be the reason, not the weak link.

That's called purgatory.

The problem is even in games where he is turning the ball over and largely terrible eventually it opens the door for garbage time stats that skew the conversation and simply serve as a tool for some to argue in favor of prolonging the inevitable.

For a third year QB the only numbers that should hold weight are what he does in crunch time and when the game matters. Even in the recent dominating win there's just no meat on the bone there. Nothing that stands out.

This may ruffle some feathers, but if we had and an average QB, we would have won by 50 points. Canalas still completely devalues the run when our best weapon is still Chuba. Make of it what you want but it’s fools gold. Bryce and Canalas will figure out a way to screw this up next week.

You are preaching to the choir on this one Frank. I have been in a really bad fan mood since they did the deed, because I saw years of this coming, which did come, and because of all the mass hysteria along the way whenever he doesn’t fail.
It is like TDS but in reverse.

Next week opponent (Patriots), the worst pass D in the NFL.

 #2 run D allowing 2.8 per carry.

Cardinals, Cowboys and *Ravens are technically worse.  Ravens  playing tonight

ATL out gained Panthers in total, rush and pass.

The game was won by ST mainly by field position. I mean BY just needs around 35 yards and they were in FG range a few times.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
