Thielen update

I said that way back because it is true. Teams aren’t trading what appears to be a can’t miss prospect.

In an extremely rare scenario like they have an established QB and maybe got the pick in a trade. Sort of like the Bears but with a better incumbent. If they’d have had someone significantly better than Fields they might have cashed in.

Adam Thielen was just waived

I wonder if he retires or tries to catch on with a playoff contending team?  I doubt he wants or is wanted back in Carolina.  Too many young WRs developing and the veteran Renfrow hasn't seen much action at all since the start of the season.

Waived from the worst offense in the league.

Dan M got a fourth rounder for him.

They should have kept Darnold.  FWIW, I had McCarthy as QB6 in that class.  I didn't like his tape that all that much. Even if that was their guy for the future, they should have kept Sam as the bridge/mentor QB.  Seattle sure is happy about the Vikings decision to part ways.

    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
