Both times he schemed guys open and Bryce couldn’t make the play. How is that Dave’s fault?

It's Dave's fault because he should know his QB is completely incapable of seeing over the line and panics under pressure.

So the lack in faith in the QB makes us throw to other players instead of just telling him to throw it up to his best player and hope he makes a play?

I don't think it's that, I think it's Canales trying to outsmart the defense who is expecting it to go to T-Mac so he's calling plays to go elsewhere thinking it will fool them.

It ain’t working

I’m only telling you what I see Canales do…didn’t say it made sense. Not fond of him as a play caller

Anyone else think we are up 10+ points if Dalton started today?

Yea because even at like 37 Dalton can still throw the ball further than 20 yards without having to use his entire core strength to will the ball that far

    • I get it's disappointing, but this was definitely a seller's market and the only players traded away were players that would be depth pieces at best for us. A lot of the top teams (Avs, Stars, Lightning, Wild post Hughes) really only traded for depth pieces. Just a terrible trade deadline all around and I'm glad we didn't cave and sell the farm for somebody like Tro (even though I like him and he fits our team well).
    • Yes the Icky thing really kills us this year with a 17.4 I think, million dollar hole, for nothing.     His extension would likely have reduced his 2026 hit. But the extension was going to be massive.    At the same time, the massive extension money is largely freed up now and can go elsewhere.  There is just no way he should be in line for the same payday as pre injury.  I say largely freed because maybe we can do a little hollowed out extension to give him a window to get back and stay with the team past this year. Snap count and/or other incentives for 2027. Something that leaves the door open for him to get a fresh contract that reflects his value moving into 2028. Whatever that proves to be.  We’d have a lot of that money that was earmarked for his extension available to us starting next year.
    • What a major letdown. This team will forever disappoint me
