I’m gonna say it… I’m proud of Bryce.

10 TDs and 5 ints this season and he hasn’t even played his best football yet

Has a rushing TD as well

Add in the last 10 games last season when he came back from his benching and he’s at 31 total touchdowns (25 passing) to 11 interceptions in his last 16 games

I think Bryce had a good game over all.  Not perfect, but good.  He made some good throws again, but also didn't push the ball down the field as much as he could have.  More yes, but not quite enough to satisfy most Huddlers.

I'm still in the "see what happens crowd"  Bryce needs to either prove that he's the QB1, get us to the top 5 pick, or we need to move on if he's just average.  I'd love for Bryce to be the guy, but I'm not convinced yet.  Thought he did have a good game today.

That was his best fuging game as a pro.  I don’t want to hear anything about the last half of last season, because we were already out of contention and most the teams we played had nothing to lose or gain.

This?  Today?  Outplaying the #1 offense in the league.  Clutch throws on final drive.  Good decisions.  And MULTIPLE.  Let me repeat, MULTIPLE 20+ yard throws completed downfield.  That was by far his best game as a pro.  I’m still not hitching my wagon to him, but that was a damn good game for Bryce.  Good poo.

FYI, Bryce played against Cowboys defense, which is ranked dead last in the league, as in 32nd out of 32 teams. Even Justin Fields managed to put up almost 300 passing yards against them with no interceptions. Bryce couldn't even break 200 against this doormat defense. So, please, curb your enthusiasm and give proper credit to our defense, the line, and Dowdle, who carried the team to victory. With the talent we have on this team, we should be doing a lot better if we had a competent QB.

That said, Bryce does deserve a participation trophy for not F-ing it up for the rest of the team. But a glorified backup/3rd stringer who occasionally performs at the level of a game manager is not what we drafted him for. The sooner we part ways with him, the better. Let's give Canales and the rest of the team a fair chance to reach their potential and not be held back by a liability at the QB position.

Dak got 30 yards from his run game, Tua got 20 the week prior.  They kept there teams in the game despite zero rush game . BY has gotten 200+ in back to back weeks.

BY hasn’t outplayed an opposing QB all season.  BY on a good day is a game manager…those guys were asked to be the man and get a win.  Games put on the backs of QBs.

Dak played against the worst pass rush in the NFL, and barely made any tight window throws, he also got multiple drives extended by penalties. Bryce outplayed him by a mile

    • I'd hold on to Walker - we have no OT depth at all. Freeling is a block of clay - all the tools are there and he appears to have a great attitude. He needs serious work on his technique to realise his potential though.
    • From my watch last night: They weren't trading out of 19 unless it was a daft offer once Freeling got there. They were clearly antsy to get Hunter - and Minnesota actually called to offer the trade down. They weren't trading out of the third round pick once Brazzell fell to it (and Canales would have been happy with him in the second round). They traded back a lot on Day 3 - even if Morgan 'Babe Ruth'd' it with Lee, Hecht and Wheatley; they clearly weren't the only guys they would have taken at those picks. I'm curious to know which player caused the reaction at the start of day 2 (Dan Morgan): "of course they'd pick him"
    • Watching this confirms that this staff and front office is super high on Monroe Freeling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotta a real chance to win the starting LT job in camp. If he does, we can look to flip Rasheed Walker to a contender desperate for tackle help.   As for Ickey I still really like him and wanna extend him but based on how the staff was talking about Freeling it might be time for ickey to start taking some practice sets at guard if he wants to stay here as we are gonna have to have figure out a solution for the contracts of Lewis and Hunt.  My preferred scenario for the Oline in 2027 is Freeling-Ickey-Hech-Lewis-Moton.
