Bryce played well. No excuses.

This type of game that bring you stans and us haters together!!

He did play very well with no excuses.

*For the stans- In bad weather with Backup on the right side, backup RB, missing #1 TE and missing Coker.

Still played like a real NFL QB

Hey we’re picking at the threads of timing of completed passes in a win instead of being totally deflated by another miserable performance.  Six games in there’s little doubt we’re a much better team than last year.  A couple more plays in Arizona and this team could very easily be 4-2 right now.

I’ve hated on Bryce plenty, when he deserved it.  I’m not above enjoying the win and resetting expectations when he raises the bar, and he has. I’ve sold many stocks too soon as well, sometimes that still worked out.

Week to week revisionist history does nothing for me.  I’ll just live in the moment and today was another great day.  Proud of Bryce and the entire team.

Defenses having to account for our run threat is definitely taking the pressure off of him

I always thought if he had that one guy, can't remember his name, that was injured all the time, has a safety outlet, he would do better

He has that now, with Dowdle, who could be our greatest RB since Dlo and Jstew

It isn't all great though, he is still not seeing wide open recievers sometimes

I know what you mean. I keep hoping Bryces timing will improve and our guys won't need to basically wait to catch balls but at least he was able to find the right player many times this week, and often down field. He seemed more confident than earlier in the year and his game resembled his successful games last year, hitting 15-20 yard passes multiple times

Agreed he is playing better and taking what the defense is giving him and I give him credit for that and the plays he made as I've said this afternoon already. As far as becoming a franchise QB to the point we don't need to consider the position a need going forward. That isn't going to happen for me with anything less than him taking over games throughout the season with his arm. Until I see that he is a game manager at best. And if that is what he remains and some people think that's enough to give him an extension I would say that is the worst case scenario of purgatory. Just me being honest.

Those dudes downfield weren’t NFL open they were Bama open.  Thanks to a combo of Rico and Dallas D being bad

Some day, he'll need to carry the team for us to win. But that time isn't now and he made the plays he needed to for us to stay in the game and ultimately get the W. Rico deserves tons of credit for the last two games but Bryce, especially today, took advantage deep which is what a lot of us have been wanting.

I don't think it's reasonable to ask that one player carry an entire team (especially when they are on the field for only one of two phases). Even Cam needed the defense to get him the ball back and guys like Norwell/Kalil/Turner to keep him upright. Bryce did not have Rico on that GWD vs. Miami as Rico had cramped up and left the field. Just like the 4th down today (and 4th down last week when he connected with TMac after scrambling), Bryce has made the plays that have been needed.

3 TDs from today were passing TDs..  two of them traveling more than 20 yards through the air. Does that mean he's the guy? Not yet, but he's proved that a lot of the hate he gets from some folks is completely unwarranted (especially some of the lazier ones, ie: too small to throw deep).

His arm is weak and that’s a fact.  Nothing lazy about that.  Hell, even a large % of the Bryce believers concede that fact at this point.

Not sure there was a defender within 5 yards of our guys when they caught any of those balls today as they were all tied to poor coverage/busts.  Heck, Rico and Horn were probably flirting with no one with 10 yards. Props to Bryce for identifying it and making the plays.  But by no means did he somehow silence questions about his arm by hitting open guys vs horrific coverage.   Those dudes were Bama open lol

But but but

Bryce haters can’t even enjoy a win

There was none of that in the game thread. That popped afterwards and was not instigated by the non believers.
People are happy. I get that I am too. But that was not the 85 Bears.
I think Bryce played to his ceiling today, take that as you will. That is the goal of any performer or athlete.
It is a long running dispute, people are acting like the case is closed. It isn’t. Yet.

C'mon man, this is a weird take. Nobody is expecting Bryce Young to play D. And he played well today.  But there are QBs that keep their team in the game whether they get career days from RBs or not. And I hope Bryce can be one of those players, and that is not too much to ask from a QB.

As to the final Miami scoring drive, Rico started it with a 16 yard run and Etienne did have a 12 yard rush in the red zone. It was good complimentary football.
